Asda Same Price find-game.co.uk/286…htm

Sendit look cheaper, but I believe they charge postage of £1.99

I'm betting that this will be sub £25 in August and sub £20 in September

I'd rather buy from Amazon than The Hut Group but I agree with your second comment. It's for that very reason that I'm not pre-ordering this game. It'll drop to sub £20 in no time.

V. similar prices but I'd prefer not to use Amazon as their release-day delivery record isn't very good.

Should be a good game; if its not the price will certainly tumble. Just wish Portal's 2 price would go below £20 but I doubt that will happen soon.

Are there confirmed minimum/recommended setting for this yet? Haven't seen it on canirunit.com

Couple of recent previews point to the PC version, which has been outsourced to a different studio, being "not very good".
I'd wait until release myself.

Can u remember which previews?

Given they've got more than 3 months to tidy it up I wouldn't worry about previews all that much

Seeing its primarily made for the PC I would doubt that was true.

I'm playing the original again on PC. I would warn against pre-ordering something that may well turn out to fall very short...wait for the reviews.

Great price, cheaper than my standard edition pre-order at ShopTo!

They have tasked that job to Netherlands-based developer Nixxes Software … They have tasked that job to Netherlands-based developer Nixxes Software BV. Nixxes has worked on Eidos ports for several years now, including PS3 and PC versions of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and the PC port of Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days.

K&L 2 was an absolute abomination on the PC. They never even bothered to implement 5.1 audio and I'd encountered numerous progress-stopping bugs by the end of the first level.

From watching videos I can see warehouse settings, boxes and crates everywhere, stupid A.I. that just walks in a set path, "press X to stealth kill", boring gameplay. Nothing at all stands out, and remember these are the sections they are choosing to 'show off'. I'm completely on the fence about this game and personally think people might feel fleeced if it's pre-ordered - like I was with Test Drive Unlimited 2, which I anticipated for ages.

Invisible War was pretty bad.

Without Warren Spector on board, I haven't got any hopes for this game.

But I am tempted to start Deus Ex from scratch again (for the 7th time).....

Hmmm, still £44.85 for the 360 i see from your link however not buying it for the PC either i don't as it will sink like a stone after a few weeks like so many games have recently Dragon Age 2 being of the best examples of this happening.

It's not really worth pre-ordering these days.

Cheers for the info. I was under the illusion that the PC version might get some special attention, considering the background of the franchise. I'm cancelling my pre-order until I've heard more.

Thanks anyway OP, good price.

Your pessimism might be unwarranted. I think Spector is in a very different place right now.

Wow, so much negativity in this thread. Every preview I have read (Eurogamer, IGN, Gametrailers etc) has been extremely positive about this game, and as a huge fan of both Deus Ex and Invisible War I can't wait. The video footage looks superb and very loyal to the old games, the only real question mark as far as I'm concerned is the combat...animations look a little stilted at the moment. We shall see.

Excellent price OP, have some heat.

the game was finished a while ago, and mainly delay by 6months due to square enix having financial problems. I'm pretty sure they wont release a messed up version for the PC, they do have tim to do plenty of testing.'

I haven't looked at the others, but IGN for example use the exact same preview for all versions. They probably haven't even seen the PC version; they don't mention that it's ported by a 3rd party (with a poor reputation), and they seem to be making the same assumption that I was; that the 3 versions will be equally as good - which is yet to be established.
