Great price for this title again. If you haven't already got it, you should give it a go

You play Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT specialist who's been handpicked to oversee the defensive needs of one of America's most experimental biotechnology firms. Your job is to safeguard company secrets, but when a black ops team breaks in and kills the very scientists you were hired to protect, everything you thought you knew about your job changes.

Don't forget to check out the weekly competition

The game, or the competition?
It's cheaper (£2.95) to buy a retail copy (which also obviously includes the Steam code, and is likely to arrive next day if you order before 3pm).

Decent price if you need it *right now* (or just hate retail games) for some reason though.

Also, try this to increase performance:

For the sake of 25p it's not really worth getting the physical copy unless you have an archaic internet connection (it is a 17~GB download).

DVD's are fun to microwave though, it may be worth the day wait actually.

Saw that -- and gave you heat

I haven't seen any performance issues, but hopefully that's helpful to someone, thanks

Personally I only have around 8 Mbps at "home", nothing I can do about it as it's a rental property so I try to avoid downloads as big as that where possible (that would be almost a 5 hour download).

36 Mbps at work, but I use a Mac here, so unless I get round to installing Windows in a VM I can't download Windows Steam games.

I thought this was out for Mac?

DX:HR or Steam? DX:HR (original, not Director's cut) is for Mac, but on the App Store not Steam. Steam is out for Mac, but you can't download Windows games using it unfortunately, would be useful if you could to then transfer to a USB stick or whatever, but I doubt that'd happen any time soon.

Either way I don't game on my Mac, I game the PC I spent £1,500+ building.

the game. I tried it ages ago and its just too difficult.
Would highly recommend this game as a stealth game, it cannot be played well as a FPS action game.

Agreed. Working my way through the The Fall right now. It's a mobile port, I know, but for the die hard fans, it's a great little game Completed DXHR using stealth too, to get all achievements (and it's a great game for that). The additional 500 hours was just for enjoyment

Really? Have you tried on easy settings, and using stealth, rather than a run-and-gun approach? Once you have a few mods, the game is quite enjoyable

I was excited by The Fall, even though it's a mobile game, I've seen PSP and Vita games get ported and they look like proper PC/home console games. Unfortunately The Fall is terrible, I can't see past the low budget-ness of it.
It's a shame we'll probably never have another big Deus Ex game again, HR probably didn't sell very well for the next game to be just a mobile game.

I think The Fall was more of a mobile side project -- not sure if it was ever intended for PC. Stumbled across this too, so hopefully there's more to come out of Deus Ex yet

For completists only. And even then wait until its a couple of quid. You won't have to wait very long.

I was going to, but the pre-order (and discount) came with a copy of Deus Ex GOTY (the original), which I'll be putting in the competition to give away
I had such high hopes for this game but it ultimately let me down. I actually felt bored playing it and I just wanted to complete it because I bought it. That's not to say that it's the worst game I've ever played because it has some nice points. I think for £2 it's worth a shot if you haven't played it before.

Showing as £12.99 now.
£3.24 on Steam right now.
Nice find Bob
