Devil May Cry Definitive Edition XboxOne/PS4 £19.95 @ The Game Collection
Xbox = thegamecollection.net/dmc…tml
Couldn't see it posted yet, apologies if already up.
Pretty good price for a pre-order, albeit a remastered game.
Cheaper than the shopto price by around a fiver, so worth a post I thought

I myself are also sick of these remakes. But a lot of good developers are getting extra cash due to these and hopefully helps and encourages them to make more games.
Thanks. I'm ordering it now
The only game i want a remake of
Tempted. Seriously. Excellent game that got too much hate because it wasn't 80's metal Dante. Idiots.
Lol. Casual trash.
That's more like it.
COD4 wasn't casual trash it was the last decent COD game. Every COD after that was.
He's far from "casual trash". Plus COD 4 is not only widely viewed as the best COD, but also an all time great shooter. It was the last good COD before the series turned trash. There's no need for childish comments that are also incorrect.
To be honest no game apart from The Last of Us, GTA and the Halo Collection have deserved a remake. It's getting crazy now
They did do a kind of remake exclusively for the gamecube.
What's up with all the unnecessary remakes though
Gamecube one doesn't have the original soundtrack and I'm actully playing the first one again on an emulator lol. Have to say easier than I thought it was when I was younger but didn't realize how funny it was or how much it break the forth wall with the player. Really should make remake of this, it is a master peice of a game.
It's hardly a remake. The original content was extremely high quality and trashed to run on ageing PS3/360 hardware.
I do think it's too expensive though, reduce to £14.99 and maybe acceptable as a digital release.
I don't know if you're joking or not, but if you're serious then why not?
Personally, I skipped the PS3/360 generation of consoles and wouldn't mind playing this on my new PS4 for £20.
If you're not interested in the game then just don't buy it.
I'm usually all for the 'dont make negative comments, if you dont like it just dont buy it'. But in the case of remakes there is a very real consequence to them, in that when a studio is committing to remaking old games for the newest consoles they are taking resources away from making new games. Re-releasing an existing game with tweaked graphics is the antithesis of innovation. I'd rather people were making new games!
(by the way I still voted hot because of the price, my opinions relate to the remake era we are in in general).
Agreed! I played 38 days online time on COD 4!! It was such a classic game! We should start a petition to get Infinity Ward / Activision aware of the demand!!
I feel the same way, how many more games can they try to resell us!!!
Unfortunately there never seem to make HD versions of PS1 games, just PS2/3 games.
If it included dmc4 all I would be tempted...
As for definitive edition there isn't a lot of dlc released.
Don't get me wrong love the devil may cry series but I think they are getting greedy releasing this.
Resident evil soon
you could always not buy it. some of us like to be able to buy games from the last gen that we missed.
thats a remake of the gamecube game, not ps1
actually your pretty wrong. the work is generally given to a lesser studio who need the money. if anything it gives. resources to smaller studios who are often the more creative ones.
A few other examples:
"Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee" (& "Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus")
"Mortal Kombat"
"Tony Hawk's Pro Skater"
Perhaps the motivation is not as strong because original PlayStation discs can still be used on later generation (home, not portable) consoles in the PlayStation range; well, with the exception of PlayStation 4.
With the take-up of PlayStation™Now (via the technology acquired from the purchase of Gaikai), we may see less remakes in the future, as older generation content is able to be streamed to newer generation consoles.
Perhaps this recent flurry of releases is considered to be the last chance some of those involved will have to gain revenue (& greater profits) from physical products, & once one/more streaming-based services are in greater demand, the need for High Definition remakes will diminish.
