What, no barrage of "OMGGGGGG, these totally clog up my amateur radio frequencies and cause interference, ban them! ban them!"...

No? Just lots of silent cold voters.

Price seems too high for me. Although they don't seem to have the Devolo ones listed here, Faculty-X have a range of HomePlugAV (the 200Mbps standard) starting from £49.55 + p&p :-

I don't know why, but I wish I had bought TWO sets at the time... one is never enough!

I bought a pair from BT for £40ish pound a few weeks back.

Good, easy products though however I would look for better pricing.

BT give these away as part of some of their broadband products

Darn, I just bought these yesterday!

Links to cheaper 200Mbps devices would be much appreciated.

Even cheaper ones were posted yesterday from same company but think it was removed cos there were sent to the naughty corner once.

BT's ones are just the 100mbps standard. Although it's interesting to note that the 200mbps plugs only have 100mbps interfaces; they know that even though they are theoretically able to do those speeds, in reality they just don't get anywhere close :?

To give a data point my Devolo AV-Easy give me 8MB/s across 3 floors.

With my simple maths that tells me I'm getting close to 64Mbps.

I'll test again across two floors, to see if I get better transfer over a shorter distance, but I don't think there's much difference.

The BT Comtrends are also rated at 200mps, but in my experience you get generally about 30mbps. I'm just confused as to why the price of these adapters fluctuates so much. I bought a pair of Netgear devices from Scan just before Christmas for about £40 now they are £80 and the Comtrends on the BT site have gone the same way!!!
