Any reason why these are >£20 more than similar offerings from TP-link? Even their 3-port ones are a fiver cheaper than these.

if you're a Mac user, check compatibility on forums with any powerline make, as some aren't with the later releases of OSX. Not sure about this make, but some Netgear Powerline don't work.

I replace my 4 Devolo 1200+ with the TP-Links, used for streaming uncompressed 1080p from a NAS. The TP-Links are much better at half the cost.

have I assumed correct that these are power line adapters with Wi-Fi built in and Ethernet out?

I.e it creates its own wifi using the powerline connection and not just repeating a weak wifi signal?

if they are what other makes have the same with or without pass though?
