Seems like a good price, buy two and you have a starter kit for less than the one they are advertising it, .

Just noticed you had previous posted "Devolo DLAN® 1000 Duo+ Starter Kit Powerline" @ box.co.uk, never had any experience on this brand, any good?

Anyway have some heat for the post and effort.
Devolo stuff is pretty good, decent windows application etc too. I’ve got a free fitted around the house where Wi-Fi isn’t ideal for the device

I dont have any experience with powerline networking but since my kitchen wifi signal is non existent and I need to make a solid connection somewhere in the house for a NAS i have started to read up on these. So far this brand looks the most reliable and least affected by different wiring in the house.

Also the 1000+ only has 100Mbps at the ethernet port

I would suggest you go for their 1200 ac + WiFi units instead - more expensive but you get the double benefit of a powerline and solid WiFi in the kitchen.... I have 2 in my house and they are great

the plan is to buy additional wifi add on for the kitchen later (even if only 500Mbps), two of these for the router and NAS upstairs connection. but still waiting and seeing what deals are on, no rush

Devolo definately worth looking at in that scenario - the PC application lets you see speed between the various adaptors so you can move them around if you have a dodgy socket, I've used a couple in 4 gang power extensions without issue too.
