Not sure that would offer any significant benefit now, as almost all PCs, Desktops and laptops have RJ45 network cards/sockets as standard.

I have 85Mb/s Dabs ones, and while I love them, I can't imagine wanting any slower, as in practice they all run under the "full speed" anyway.

I paid less than this for the 85Mb/s version, (although they are not so cheap at the moment), and I do sometimes wonder if the 200Mb/s ones might have been a better long term buy as things get added to the network!

Quite right, the usb is actually a very bad idea to use, networking protocols are complex enough without adding an extra layer of software.

Bought myself the cheaper 85Mbps ones from Amazon last week, after ordering these and being told it would take a month for Amazon to deliver them, despite a) Amazon saying they had stock and b) having free next day delivery using the amazon prime trial!

Must say, I'm VERY glad I didn't get these Devolo ones. The white ones look far less tacky than these transparent blue, they do not need any drivers to be installed and so far I've have had a flawless connection!
