Read mixed reviews about these.
I saw a display set at the Thurmaston (Leicester) store about 6 months ago. They didnt seem any different from other budget sets apart from them being black. A lot of the items had been stolen but there was a couple of spanners left and could see they were quite scracthed so i dont know how long the black coating would last.
I have a halfords professional set, and apart from the odd broken torx bit which are replaced for free, it's been great. I am fully invested in Dewalt stuff and always fancied one of these would be interesting to hear some how has this set! Reviews are mixed.......

I have this set and am very happy with it. Only had it 3 months but no problem yet with black paint coming off. The tools ooze quality and the lifetime warranty is reassuring. To my knowledge they have always been £99 at Costco... which is a great price. Would highly recommend.
... don’t open the case upside down or you’ll be spending the next 20 minutes replacing about 100 items which are not secured in the base. (Speaking from experience!)

That’s good to know. I only pop into Costco every now and then and saw them. Not buying now as work is very uncertain but once I get back to it, it’s good to know they may still have them.
