Interesting after drill not sure if it's good or bad but looks decent around that price looking at others in that range.
Also, looking for an 18v combi drill at the moment but don't know which to choose!
I bought a £150 set of 18v Dewalt brushed drivers in a deal posted on here a year or so ago.

In hindsight I'd have been better off getting a deal like this. I haven't used the impact driver and could have skipped that, and brushless is more robust but also it's lighter and that's quite a pertinent factor.

Coupled with two large batteries, I think this is a decent deal.

I'd say that Dewalt represent excellent quality though, so if you pick one you won't be disappointed.

Brushless is new technology. They are brushes in drills that can overheat and wear the drill out quicker and is heavier.Brushless has none of these issues.Im no expert but think this is the main differences. I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong

you may be able to resell it. As people are always buying bare units.

LOL. I still have a NiCd dewalt drill that's about ten years old. It works pretty well, still, although I've had to buy it new batteries. I've bought a new combi drill and impact driver recently. The drill is only marginally better than the old one, but the impact driver (model 887) is amazing.

I guess it’s horses for courses. I bought a 14.4 Dewalt set of drill and impact driver. I’ve used the impact driver countless times since, and now wouldn’t be without it. Agree this is a great deal.

That’s pretty much correct. Brushes can wear out (though it’s less common in a drill than something like an angle grinder which tends to run at full speed for longer). It’s probably quite unlikely that you’d wear brushes out though, unless using heavily on a daily basis. The other benefits are energy efficiency so you’ll get greater runtime from cordless tools. Not sure if brushless motors are necessarily higher output for size/weight but the latest brushless drills & drivers do tend to be shorter which improves access.
This is in wrong section can the moderators remove it please as it is come up as travel

@bulla89 I would say yes for the extra battery and battery size

@welshpiper for £90 that's not a great deal as it doesn't even have batteries. Unless you already have other worx products
I abuse these drills on a daily basis at work - mainly for drilling holes in metal panels and boxes. They don't miss a beat although someone has managed to bend the shaft connecting the chuck on a couple of them. Well worth the money.
This must be and old model as the light is in the wrong place, and has brushes.Brushless is better ,more powerful and uses less energy...

I actually ordered that 2 weeks ago to be delivered this weekend. Got a call from B&Q this morning saying it was no longer in stock for delivery and all they could do is refund me. 2 weeks they had that order and didn't allocate for it, so for me I'm going to go with this DeWalt.

Ive noticed its gone back up from £75 to £90 now also so wouldnt blame you one bit for going with the DeWalt. Im shocked a company like B&Q managed to mess your order up like that i mean like hou said they had 2 weeks to allocate you one 🙈
Just bought this class but of kit for the money!
Normally the 1.3ah batteries let these deals down to unwary consumers but 2x3ah battereis seems a pretty good deal.
