Just reserved on, my bf wants a drill for his bday! Hope it's ok!

Are you sure that this is the type of drill he was asking for...?

Haha! Erm I think so! He might get two types if he's lucky!

I have this set and it's fantastic for the money - well built compared to some other rola-cola makes.

Does just the job and unless your BF is intending to use it for some serious work will be ideal

great price but not got anymoney left (partly) due to this great site!

Thanks very much toonarmani I have reserved this along with the 90 piece Dewalt set :-)

I got this off Screwfix when it was on offer for £79 and it's the best i've ever owned.. i've killed a few Bosch 24v as well but this is a beaut...buy it at this price.. Batt only takes an hour to fully charge as well..

Superb price.

Thanks Ordered 2.

I think the price is low because they are "1.3Ah batteries" & it does not state what type of batteries, so they must be Ni-cad. Ok for DIY i guess...;)

Good deal.....
My Makita 18v with 2X 1.3 batts cost £16 more than this.
Hot.

Picked one of these up from B&Q when it was reduced to £100 a few months back. Great little drill for the cash. Hot!

FYI, just posted some in-store deals for B&Q, they're clearing a couple of cheaper less-good-but-lithium drill's for 30UKP. If you're just after an everyday drill then i'd say they would be better. These dewalt drills are excellent if you're doing a bit more though.

Quality Unit, fairly rugged...... I know this model. (DC100) HOT

friend and his colleagues use dewalt tools like this, but not much more expensive and says they're worked to death but keep going forever, one had a failed switch/trigger and they bought a replacement for not too much, so he highly recommends them

said friend previously bought a cheaper screwfix branded one which broke just after two years old and he couldn't buy any spares.

How would it compare to this?

Brill drill- bought two on "oldgits"day, worked out at £75.60 each. Chucked all my old ones. So solid. Hot

it's tat - you can't compare Draper to Dewalt.

Makita maybe ... but not Draper

reserved one thanks

You'd be far better off getting the 18v Hitachi Model which comes with Li-Ion 1.5ah Batteries.

It's a much better built Tool & a lot lighter than the Black & Decker (Dewalt) - the batteries can be charged whenever without memory loss etc.

B&Q (with diamond discount) £89!

Anyone know if this will be good for drilling holes in concrete upto 225mm's using sds 10mm and 12mm drillbits? I have to drill atleast a couple dozen

Buy a cheap corded sds hammer drill, 1000w + - and you will never have to measure how far is it "ok" to drill again. This is ok for heavy DIY use but wont stand up to any serious masonry work.

Got this today with 15% off using a voucher the wife got from work-£71.40
Code can be used online-UNISON15
Has to be used today though.

Thanks this is all very confusing, its like trying to buy a car, dewalt better than bosch, hitachi better than makita. I will also need a general diy drill so this looked a good bet as it takes 13mm chucks..

Also bought one using code UNISON15! Went in store saying I wanted to buy online as I had a voucher code. Ran it through the cashier with a 15% discount! Excellent! £71.50 total. Voucher must be used by end of trading today. Thanks poster!

Have one of these, managed to break it in two days. I did put it up to some fairly hefty work though.

How on earth did you break it, did you use it like a pneumatic drill or something?

Pretty much :\

Not really a downfall of the drill, it was very good, more probably a display of me being retarded and thinking I could get away without having to go get my corded drill out the van

I'm trying to buy it online with the drill bit set but when I get to checkout there are 3 columns, buy online, reserve or save for later but the online column has a line in it and won't let me select it?? Does this mean it's out of stock? It still let's me reserve??

That's what I tried to do so that I could apply the discount code. You can't buy it online, but only reserve and collect. I went in store and told them that I couldn't buy online but wanted to apply a discount voucher. They asked me how much the voucher was for. I told them it was for 15% and they just deducted that from the total.

Good deal (don't forget the TCB on reserve and collect). Im waiting for a decent deal on an XRP one though.

Great value, might just decide to go for the Dewalt Extreme Flatwood 9 Pce set for £999

Why is that?

Sorry to jump in, but it's the 1.3ah batteries. 2.0ah + are essential on site or you'll spend the whole time with the batteries on charge.

This is still a great deal though!

How long does a 1.3ah last for? However, the 2.0 will only last another 50% more, therefore if a 1.3 lasts 1 hour, then a 2 will only last 1.5 hours, not much in it really, or if a 1.3 lasts 4 hours, then the 2 will last 6, but then, there is plenty of time with the 1 hour charger to charge the other battery.

You only use 1 battery at a time !!

My local had a B&D 18v / 1.7a with 2 batteries for 30 quid, the drill wont be as good but the extra amps may help?
