I was looking for a drill with two batteries that would be a bit more robust than the usual ones, I found this one on Amazon. I don't suppose they sold many at £222, but I'm sure it's worth more than £74.99 with two batteries and being a good brand.

Here's the stuff

Has anyone got any idea if this is a good deal or not, I've bought one for 1. The name 2. Two batteries included and 3. It's yellow, all building stuff is good if it's yellow

This is not a hammer drill only a drill driver. It can be used for light wait drilling but a hammer drill is far better. Hence the price

dewalt is a good brand ( premium even )
cheapest price on the net by about £10
ok for a standard drill but does not have any "welly" @ 12v and no hammer action

this is only a drill driver - will struggle to drill into bricks and its only 12 volts.

if you can find an extra pony I would get this one for a tad under £100:

it will drill into anything, and will last for ever.

The drill may last but we've had quite high failure rates with these batteries at work.

but as Tim says you will need a backup drill if your drilling into anything hardcore, another consideration might be this

I Bought it a while back when they were going for £60 and so far between the 2 of them its covered anything I need (albeit for the hammer drill I need an extension lead:))

I bought the 18v Dewalt from Screwfix with 2 batteries (£89.99) which is worth the extra.

It's on offer every month or two for £99.99 and there's usually a £10 discount code you can also use

I have had the 18v for over a year now and have given it quite a hammering, cannot fault it. If you can afford to pay more B&Q curently have it for £99

me and colleague from work both got this drill, and they seem to have a problem with the chuck locking - my one does it every so often but his one has seized up and wont release. i love the drill but this is so annoying! we dont even use the drills a lot!

hot price tho!!!
