Great price - hot
thanks, ordered
I don't think this has a brushless motor. Depending on use, might be worth considering one that is.

True, but with the 3 year warranty that it is backed up by its well worth it.

of normal use. Wear and tear components

include, but are not limited to the following

examples

I agree its a good price with the 2 batteries, but please be aware of the above?

Ok, I take some of my comments back. Just checked my drill that I have had for many years and it's brushed...... Shock horror! It's the Dewalt. DCD 785 and been faultless.

I agree that this is a great deal, and I believe there is £5 off offer in another recent post at Screwfix.

Still be aware of warrenty exclusions though

Ha ha, Thanks for being Honest, Glad to hear your Dewalt drill is still running fine. for light duties i can rely on this drill or even bigger diy jobs should be ok. Hope this deal is good for others too.
Torque is a bit meh, I think there’s better out there for similar or less money.

Any suggestions?
Seems like the price point it should be at. They seem over priced, especially as this is only a brushed version.

For me personally, i'd go for the £110 diy.com/dep…prd or the one battery version, also at B&Q for £80, which is brushless, better torque and more settings. Also 3 year warranty.

Considering Stanley own Dewalt.

You can get a brushless motor with 60Nm max torque for this price
EMBH for £5 off if not already posted. Ive had a few Einhall tools in past and wouldnt rate them (cheap chinese made product). Of course there are better more expensive drills out there but a Dewalt with 2 batteries and charger for £84.99 cant be bad.

German actually, oh and EMBH doesnt work - thats an account specific code.

You are right, this does not have a brushless motor. There are some misleading comments on the internet saying that the entire DeWalt XR range is brushless, but it is not. The more expensive brushless model clearly states "BRUSHLESS" on the body.

Einhall are a German company with most of their power tools made in China actually. Look it up. On par with Lidl/Aldi Parkside offerings. Ive bought a number of Einhall tools over the years including a large Cultivator , small Rotovator and a number of drills. They work but the quality is reflective of the price.

Code posted on HUKD so not sure its account specific. As I understand its a Bank Holiday code valid until 6/5 for purchases over £25. I stand to be corrected. This Dewalt offering is still an excellent deal in my opinion

This is definitely deal to consider, if you are looking into not spending much & if the purpose will be around house light DYI tasks.

In case your pocket is a bit deeper and you want a tad bit more powerful cordless drill, I'd take this:

You'd be better with this toolstation.com/dew…986 in that case. Slightly smaller battery size, but better torque and cheaper.
It is good reliable tool for DIY.
Don't get hung up on brushless tools at this end of the price spectrum....while there are advantages to brushless tools, it doesn't mean brushed tools are useless, far from it. This sort of priced drill is aimed occasional DIY'er who will almost certainly never wear out brushes on their drill during its life and not notice the potential extended battery life.

There are advantages for brushless tools.... but also advantages for the manufacturers to get the public to buy products when their existing tools are probably still more than adequate.
Thanks for sharing, picked one up today! Looks great and very powerful!
