Thanks OP. But take note of the photo. That's what I hate about Costco. Other than VAT free food their prices show in bold the price less the VAT. People think that's cheap until they get to the till.
Then later find it is cheaper else where? (edited)

Based on the Screwfix info - this drill has Hammer settings so there's no reason it shouldn't go through brick

One thing I did note (when looking at some of the other DeWalt) is the battery 2.0AH - some of the other DeWalt have 4,0AH or 5,0AH so better runtimes - protoolreviews.com/bat…er/) (edited)

Just for info there is none of these in Oldham or Trafford stores. There is two showing on the system in Oldham and none in Trafford. They couldn't find the ones in Oldham though. Might save someone a trip.

Should be, can always give them a call with the item number, they can check stock and current price

This drill or the DEWALT DCD996N?

Depends on what you want it for and what price the 996 is.
This is a great deal for the average DIY person. And will do a domestic garden refit with ease.

I'd buy this if I didn't already have Bosch stuff

Great deal, I spent full price on this from Costco as I was desperate for a good cordless drill and hasn't let me down once doing DIY in and around the house. Don't regret it at all. 2 batteries handy to have as you're always good to go!

Will this be ok for drilling into bricks? Need to put some signs up in a car park and the drill I have isn't strong enough. Thanks in advance.

Also would be interested in this, need to invest in a drill but haven't a clue what ones will work on brick

Drill is ok but not sure about the 2.0 batteries. Screwfix and Toolstation frequently have de-walt drill sets which have 4.0 or 5.0 batteries. Worth paying that little bit extra.
