This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

I’ve been watching this site for a few days hoping for a good drill deal to replace my broken hitachi.

After some deliberation, I plumped for this as a “top of the range” DIY option.

Hopefully will help others.

It seems to have been an ongoing deal and now limited to click and collect, but couldn’t see it posted.

Good drill. I have the previous generation version. Multiple people have used it and said how nice it is to use
Great drill driver. 70nm is capable of most things. Not a DIY option, suitable for pros. Available for £80 without batteries/charger elsewhere. 2amp/hr batteries are fine for light use and make the drill lighter than the much heavier 4 or 5 amp/hr. Charge up as fast as you can use them.

I use one of these combined with a 4ah for work every day my choice would always be one of these or the Mikita
Your right. People have different preferences. I bought a macallister drill a year ago. £40 and I have used it everyday for a year. No probs yet. They are £60 now with 2 batteries.
I've just bought a bare DCD796 combi drill for £72.50 and a DCB115 (4amp) charger for £18.99. great bit of kit. The 2ah batteries are great for DIY as they don't add much weight to the drill.

I think this kit is supplied with a DCB113 charger which is a 2.5amp charger.

No.
Yes
Got this from wickes for the same price a few months back and it's a cracking piece of kit. Had a B&D before and this blows it out of the water.
Was in Costco for £125-ish

Not sure you really grasped my point.
Because I claim the VAT back it's the same price as Costco for me.
Wasn't criticising your post.
Calm down the narkiness!! Lighten up......

Anyway, just found it cheaper at Travis Perkins (£138 inc VAT)

That's cheap for Travis Perkins, they are usually the most expensive in my experience.
It's been this price for a while. And lol at the black a decker response

I would say better but others may disagree.

Well unless you want to be a little more specific ie. model of the Makita in mind, then that would be a little difficult to say.

Isn't this the same …Isn't this the same item?screwfix.com/p/dewalt-dcd776d2t-gb-18v-2-0ah-li-ion-xr-cordless-combi-drill/899cfExtra bonus is that you don't have to walk into a place named 'Toolstation'

That's the 776, this one is the 796. Different drills.
Collected this drill on Friday and took it back yesterday as the bit wouldn’t release. Should have a new one by Monday.
Has anyone heard of this being a common problem with these? I’m no tool expert, this is the first time I’ve spent this much on a drill!
I haven't come across or heard of that problem. Maybe you just got an iffy drill, or, got a drill that had previously had been returned by some numpty that used it to do a job or two. Happens a lot with places like Toolstation (and others for that matter). People use and abuse and return as 'new' for a refund. Idiots.

Saying that though, you might have just got a dodgy product.
