41212433-V5awH.jpgSame drill but no battery and about £50 less. This might be best if you already have the battery
I had ordered this Bosch drill from ScrewFix, which comes with an extra battery and case. But as I already have a decent bag I thought I could sacrifice the extra battery and get the 996

I use DeWalt tools at work. But they do a cheaper range as well. I don't know the names. But the cheap stuff, you might as well pay cheap and get cheap but the expensive stuff is great but again Makita DeWalt Milwaukee it's all great stuff I wouldn't be too picky I'd go with the price more so...

Agreed. Id add that a lot of it is down to personal preference too. How the tool feels to the operator.
Stats on poser can't be argued with. All the big brands are good.

Using this all the time but my only main dislike about it the electric clutch. I still don't get the idea. My stanley fatmax drills are awesome with the old clutch and even though i like the dewalt but..
It drives every screw in flawlessly and the clutch stops it to be almost flush. But if you want it deeper then the clutch just refuses to go deeper. Then you have to either lower the speed and then try or just unscrew it a bit and then blast it to avoid the clutch from stopping the screw flush with the wood but this sometimes can end too deep and that's not what you want.. I am not saying it is bad but it takes time to get use to the new way the clutch works.

Absolutely not if you actually compare two of the same range tools.

Not going to mention batteries as Bosch are the best on the market.
