That's a good price for a good Impact driver.

Are Toolsense reliable?

I'm thinking about buying one via FFX £76.

I’m sure they are reliable. Why not? Good feedback on ebay.. FFX is also fine but why pay more when you can get it for lower?
Showing as £79.12? Is there a code I've missed?

oh I found it, code for me is "PRESENT10".
Great bit of kit. Drives 6" screws with great ease.

Depends if you already have the batteries for either? The Dewalt is a more capable driver and better built.
Fantastic deal, I've had one for a few months and it's a beast!
Any cheap batteries with charger going for these?
This is a good price. I'm waiting a good bosh one to come up. If I didn't have bosh batteries then this is the one!
Use mine daily, brilliant impact
Been using mine round house
Curtain poles finally straight lol
hmmmm, Naked Unit.
I have a Dewalt cordless brushless drill and it's brilliant for driving screws and wood drilling but what's the difference between that and this impact driver is it just the name?

Drill will prob be rated 65N impact driver 240N. Much better at tougher jobs. For a diyer your drill will be enough. For more regular use it’s well worth it, especially if you already have the charger and batteries

Thanks for that I do have battery and charger but not really a regular user.
I got one a year ago, these are very good if you get the right bits with it. Now with impact drill attachments I use this more than my cordless drill as this is like 2 in 1.

Check ebay. I've been using floureon batteries for a few years. They're just as reliable as the originals in my experience. A few guys I work with have bought a couple since and haven't complained.
Just one opinion
So is this similar to a hammer drill or should I buy the DCd796 instead?
You had me at naked!
FireBIade20014/04/2020 20:12

hmmmm, Naked Unit.

I was hoping someone’s picked up on this while reading comments!
I have a 4ah floureon, works fine bought when I first got a first fix nailer, now I’ve got a combo drill, jigsaw and now looking into an impact

Moving from makita as everything I have had either dies or the batteries are s**t, sds broke one battery, other drill starting to start stop then the 10.8v I got died after 1 year!

This is technically a very powerful screwdriver. It won't go through brick or concrete etc as it has no in/out movement which a hammer drill does. Though it will drill wood no bother and plasterboard.
This is ideal for putting screws big or small into wood and stuff - serious sized screws like decking hex heads 6 inch long it has no trouble with at all. It's really decent at delicate work too with the adjustable torque - lowest setting ti stops with even the slightest bit of resistance and saves you tearing out a thread on something.
Remember to factor in batteries, but the Dewalt stuff is not a bad buy IMO as they do lots of stuff in the range compatible with the 18V XR stuff (got loads of it now after messing about with cheaper stuff)
Are these ok for getting car wheels on and off?

Impact is far better for driving screws, you won't cam out as easily. Having both is great

Yes.. easily.. see youtube videos
takemahmoney14/04/2020 21:43

Can be as long as they are not already on too tight - for instance if you go to some tyre places they get the air gun out and put them on so tight you wont get them off without a breaker bar or another air gun (or the big ass Dewalt 899 gun which is awesome ).
This puts out 150 ft/lbs max, all the cars I have owned have been something between 100-120 ft/lbs rating for the wheel bolts so it may do the job.
Great price. Near the £68 I paid about a year ago. Well worth the money

No bother, got lots of Dewalt kit including this so know a bit about it.
anewman14/04/2020 22:16

As said by the other guy above no - BUT you can get a hex adapter to 3/8", 1/2" and 1/4" square drive ( example - amazon.co.uk/Imp…8-7 ) which will let you use sockets with one of these
