Is this a decent kit to get for the DIY enthusiast? I have had the same dewalt combi drill for nearly 10 years now and starting to fail a bit. Will a impact driver be needed? And is this kit a good longterm tool?

I was hoping for someone else to answer, as I have the same question, but every time I almost commit, I think about how I drill 3-5 times a year, normally 2 holes, and for less than ten minutes.

So, multiple batteries AND multiple tools feels like overkill to me.

If I were building a deck, and pre-drilling, countersinking and screwing a 1000 screws, totally worth it.

Putting up 3 shelves and a light per year, I can’t justify it.
I just took the plunge on this as my old Dewalt 12v combi drill is starting to play up but it lasted me 10 years and some fair abuse.

This kit when registered is 3 years guarantee which is decent and having a quick look is much better made. I just need to get used to how and when to use the impact driver over the combi drill which I previously used for everything.
