About this deal

An indispensable item in your toolkit, this DeWalt magnetic bit holder will be your third hand when driving screws. No more having to grasp the screw in one hand while you're holding the screwdriver in the other. Insert this piece into your cordless screwdriver and you can guide screws into awkward places easily. You'll be drilling without touching the screw, so you'll prevent finger injury and be able to concentrate on the work in hand.

This drive guide has a self-retracting, barrel-shaped sleeve to trap the screw and ensure precise drilling. It also gives you something to hold onto as you drive, creating stability without friction. Thanks to the magnetic material, your screw will be held still – no more accidental scratching while trying to keep screws in place. This bit holder's hardened material makes it extra strong and durable.

• Magnetic bit holder holds screw during positioning

• Guide sleeve helps to achieve straight, accurate screwdriving

• Self-retracting guide sleeve reduces risk of finger injury

• Diameter of 9.5 mm

I wonder if this is compatible with ferrex impact driver and bits

I rattled one apart with an impact. The sliding collar came off.
Didn't break it fully, but best not used in an impact.

Anyone wanting a bit holder for an impact driver should spend a bit more, e.g., on this DeWalt impact bit holder

Disclaimer - I've not used this. I bought a wera impaktor bit holder, and it's been great for the last 4 years of DIY. A fair bit more money though and this is UKHotDeals!

I've been using the Bosch Screwdriver Bit set for years with my drills and impact drivers. Says suitable for hand power but I've been using the bit holder for impact since 2017 (was around £6ish). Only thing I've done is swapped the PH2 and PZ2 bits with Milwaukee ones as they got worn down (as expected).

Why not just use the bit directly into impact driver?
I have been using a gold Makita bit in mine for ages.
    No bit holder needed.

For what it's worth. I have one of these and it's pretty good.
Used it for a decking job.
It's not really really needed. But at this price it might be helpful for certain jobs.

Better to have and not need, than need and not have.

These are rubbish and fall apart. I bought 10 of them when they were on £2 each and last a joiner 1 week max each. Bought milwakee bits and they have lasted 3 months at treble the price.

Thus is a poor quality item

Paid 99p for one of these and that’s about what it was worth.

Total junk, badly made. Bought a couple to replace my old DeWalt holder that's over 10 years old. My old one runs truer, is more magnetic and still holds the bit better.
