See they changed this. Used to be the DS450/DS300 and the smaller tool box on top (Screwfix have this set at over £240 - but it's been on sale at 149). Now the DS450 (wheels attached) and 2 of the DS300 - certainly more storage but would love to know how these 3 large boxes act on the wheels. With the smaller one on top the handle fully extended was just above the top box. Now I suspect it's below it when fully extended.

I suspect this is a new set as such so no real world feedback bar the solitary review on Screwfix

Edit - just read a few reviews on the Dewalt site about the set up with the smaller box on top. Says the handle only extends level with the smaller box and as such your knuckles get a good going over when using. I can only imagine this set makes this problem worse. (edited)

I ordered this set as I already have the tough system 1 boxes. As boxes they are really good and the tough system 2 boxes are backwards compatible with those in terms of clipping together etc.
I'm taking it back though for a refund.....the 2 boxes at the bottom are for my use way too big and the fact that one is permanently attached to the wheels is a big minus. The tray inserts inside are a bonus. When all 3 boxes are on the trolley it extends way above the handle. Not sure how easy it would be to handle when loaded up. Also there is only a single tray I'm each box and no dividers so stuff will slide around freely unless you purchase aftermarket dividers or invest in some foam to make inserts.
They are good heavy duty boxes....but they aren't as good in terms of features as the milwaukee ones on offer in screwfix.....but then they are a lot cheaper.
I wish the dewalt boxes were more like the milwaukee set up as that is so well thought out.
I think these will sell well with people that have already invested in dewalt tough system...but for me this doesn't really work.
If you get the chance to look at the milwaukee rolling trolley system in screwfix it is pretty impressive by comparison...but at a price.

Voted hot as its a good discount but just wanted to give some real work feedback.

Brilliant bit of kit, on par with the milwaukee one

Just seen this on their website. New Erbauer version. Thoughts on this against the DeWalt?

I wouldn't be paying that without reviews at least or a discount. Can only imagine that this has been priced to allow it to be £99.99 in a sale. First thing that jumps out at me is the 50lb load capacity - this has to be wrong. That's just a little over 20KG for goodness sake. If true - useless for tools

No Way is this on par with Milwaukee...!

I would hold out if possible & get the Milwaukee kit on sale, you won't be disappointed...!

That's really good to hear as you confirmed my fears. I have 2 of the 300 boxes (just use as standard tool boxes (use both single trays in one as the other holds multiple power tools) and thought about the wheeled system. I suspect it works better when you replace the top 300 box with the little shallow one that came out at first as part of the 3 unit wheeled system.

    Good feedback - thanks
