Dexter is a crime drama about Dexter Morgan, a man who leads a double life as an incredibly likeable forensics expert for the Miami Police Department and as an emotionless vigilante serial killer. Taught by his foster father to harness his lust for blood and killing, Dexter lives by his own strict moral code - he only kills murderers who can't otherwise be brought to justice. Dexter is a killer who grapples with fitting into society while, at the same time, he struggles with his inability to feel emotion. The irony of Dexter's life is that he works closely as a blood splatter analyst with the very people who hunt his kind - the homicide departments.

I think its my all time favourite series.

I'm now also over the ending....

I've had a big void in my life since Dexter finished

Original Poster

Same gollywood every year in would forward to dexter never done a recap. Everyone who had watched it will say about the ending but god it was good tv.

I've still never watched the last episode. I just can't face it!

Ending was anticlimactic but not a total disaster.

Just remember the greatness of previous series.

Esp S4!!!!!

He was onto Dexter.

Paid for it in the end though...

I’m still not over the ending, very much like the Lost finale, and I don’t think I ever will be.

I can’t forgive them for their decisions for the last few episodes but it still ranks as one of the best series to come out of the States.

Excellent price

Great deal...... bought this box set last year for only a few quid less.
Binge watched it all, over a week. Awesome viewing.

Came to thread hoping for Blu Ray.

Left sad at DVD

One day...amazing series. Really well done and maybe season 8 wasn't as good as others but it was always hard to end!

4 days worth of awesome, just watch one more episode, for £27. Heat from me.

Seems odd to me that people still buy dvd box sets like this. They definitely made sense back in the early 2000s, in the time before HD TVs, and back when Internet connections were prohibitively slow, but in the era of HD and instant streaming, why would anyone spend £27 on this over four months of Netflix access?

I still buy DVD boxsets, I rip them to my dell t-20 and stream them via smb and kodi. If anything happens to the hdd I rip them again. Downside is I have over 1000 dvds stored in the loft now only worth about 50p each I also have Netflix and prime but prefer to stream my own offline with no restrictions.

I used to do a similar thing (albeit with DVDs from LoveFilm) back around 2004. Made sense then, but nowadays, isn't it a hell of a labour-intensive and expensive means to store and watch content that's now generations out of date in terms of convenience and quality? I mean, how many hours would you have to wait until you could watch Dexter in SD, compared to how many seconds it takes me to watch it in HD?

If your ordering more than 1 item, try code VBX10 for a 10% discount ?

You are right, it takes hours but I just leave it ripping then go change the disc. I will gladly buy digital copies if I could use them as I wanted and use on any hdd. I have been trying to find and buy the complete red dwarf but all digital copies have restrictions. I just want to buy a digital copy the same as I buy a DVD. I am ok with sd tv shows for now as I watch them in bed on a 12inch screen. I even have some 80s vhs rips that never made it to DVD I'm getting old

By the time I finished converting from VHS to external hard drive to DVD...DVD had become virtually obsolete!!

The hours, days, weeks, months I spent on that!!!!
