Would make a great Mother's Day Gift

The complete eight seasons of the American drama about a Miami police forensics expert who kills those he believes have escaped justice. Dexter (Michael C. Hall) was orphaned at the age of three after the murder of his mother, an incident which appears to have implanted in him a fierce desire to punish those who commit criminal acts. While avoiding suspicion with a genial and helpful professional facade by day, when off-duty Dexter remorselessly hunts down those he believes have escaped the justice of the law and takes his vengeance

If you buy this box set I advise you insert season 8 directly into a bin. If you watch it you WILL be gravely disappointed.

Aren't these all on Netflix in HD? Appreciate the difference, just amazed people would pay this much to buy low quality DVD when higher quality streaming is available.

Everybody's favorite serial killer
Fantastic series, probably one of my favourite of all time. Although the last season/ending is very disappointing.
Brilliant series. Just stop before 7/8 and make up your own ending. It will be better.
I hope the bring this back

Doubt the streaming would be much (if any at all) better than a decent dvd.

I'd agree is we were comparing 4k stream to 1080p disc, but Netflix 1080p streaming is way better than DVD disc - assuming a decent sized TV.

I've heard that the production company were so embarrassed about being voted the worst final episode of a TV show of all time (or something like that) that they are making another series to try and address that.

So hopefully more Dexter.
Fozz2k. Please don’t say that. We are currently on season 6 and it has been a fantastic series to watch. Good deal for anyone that hasn’t seen it yet though!
Personally I can't think of a more fitting end. I'm trying not to spoil the show by giving too much away. Just adding a voice against the knee jerk Dexter=bad ending. Remember this ended the same week as Breaking Bad.. I think most people are subconsciously comparing them.

From the comments its better to buy seasons 1-5....
Great price. Obviously you could talk about this being on Netflix but with this it is yours to keep so heat added. As for the show, it was pretty good but definitely peaked at season 4 and then just went downhill and as for the ending, it wasn't good but even if you compare it to Breaking Bad the final season was overall just a huge disappointment.

I would stop at 4... I felt the rot setting in at Season 5. Seasons 1-4 are immense

Mark my words...it's like the production company got bored towards the end.
Anyone else still waiting for a complete UK Blu Ray Boxset?

I agree. I liked the ending. Again i don't want to say too much because *spoilers*
But to me it made alot of sense to the character.
I would love more seasons of Dexter because i loved the script and clever story arcs but feel it would take away the significance of the finale.

Each to their own,but I could see very little difference between a good dvd and a bluray; 1080p streaming will be worse than bluray due to the compression applied to the stream signal.
I am just going to leave this here...

Clyde Phillips was showrunner on Dexter until the epic Season 4 - this is how Dexter should have ended...

Don't like that. As well as the story quoted, Its a bit like Suckerpunch.

Again, I don't want to spoil it for those still watching, but for 'everyone's favourite serial killer' the aired ending is the best for everyone. (barring an obvious person for reasons I won't go into).

Definitely. Story told... Move on and enjoy it as it is.
