They are not LED, this one is.

yes LED is better picture this is a total and utter bargain

I think this is made by UMC

As far as the brand goes, I have a DGM 24" monitor that was £200 about 4 years ago which was ridiculously cheap at the time and has been not flash but absolutely fine.

Sorry for my ignorance, but does this TV have integrated freeview?

sorry for my lack of info , yes it does

you can view the spec sheet here

there is a manual pdf on the DGM website here

Thanks Ozzie.

Reviews would suggest that picture is great but sound is a little tinny. Good speakers would sort that though.

From what I know, the LED don't give you better picture. It is more to do with energy saving as the backlight is powered by LED which effectively reduce the power consumption. For a 22in, the power consumptions are generally lower but you still get some saving - probably a couple of quid per year depending of how often you use it.

Just what I wanted - ordered through Quidco - thanks for the find.

LED, plus facility to playback and record to USB according to manual:

If so, this is a burning hot giveaway price.

Any comments about sound quality would be appreciated? The main reason I have held back on this and also thinking could be some good sales coming shortly.

I have just got one the sound is not great but hey ho its a really thin panel and the picture quality is miles better than my old 19in 1080i screen shame about the rear mounted speakers if they were mounted at the front of the screen you wouldnt get that much of a tinney sound it comes with lots of nice extras tho like a audio in cable for pc and also it comes with an rca cable for input via rca
All in all for under 150 you cant winge the picture quality is fantastic i have a ps3 attached to my screen and the quality of blu rays and games looks stunning and very crisp if you can get your ears around the not brilliant sound then get this tv its a steal

just plug a pair of Logitech's or similar into the headphone socket.

I use one of those Asda remote controlled mains sockets to switch the speakers and the tv.

Your comments are appreciated thank you.
If not too much trouble can you confirm that it has USB record/playback?
Ps. I am only going to use as a TV, not PS3 or computer.

Thanks, I can see that's a solution if you want excellent sound , however I am only after a TV that is self contained with reasonable enough sound for TV viewing.

I am torn between this TV or this one hotukdeals.com/dea…07/
Panasonic is £29 dearer with good sound but thicker panel and not backlit LED. MMmmmm

Ozzie, Thank you for original posting, I have ordered one. £12.68 Quidco tracked within 2hrs.
Total = £136.32. sounds like a snip. Phoned Staples and chap there said it has USB facility.

tv looks quality, anyone know if there our much difference between using the vga socket to connect to my computer? I only have dvi from my graphics card so ?would need a little adaptor, but would the quality of the picture reduce as I am used to using dvi attached to my benq 17 inch tft monitor

THANKS TO OZZIE for the spec. sheet the usb function is the clincher for me.You can sign up for Staples rewards, and the code is entered on checkout. Good posting

What is Staples rewards?

Firstly I have yet to sample their rewards scheme-however it seems to offer chance to build up some
discount for subsequent purchases. Best to visit site as you can view without committing yourself to
buy anything.I bought the 22" today and filled in the rewards number at checkout, they provide this if
you pursue it on front page.If a Bentley pulls up outside I will contact you when recovered from shock therapy.

Bought one as well. Been researching for a reasonably priced 22" screen for a couple of weeks now. Have a budget of £150. This seem the best deal giving a lot more more than expected for this price.

Tried 2 of these. Black background is awfull, and led light shows up at side of screen, shame because the colours are good and the picture pin sharp...Staples are really good let me take it back no problem.

Got one of these this week, ordered online and great service from Staples. Decent set for the price, very slim as you'd expect from a LED backlit screen, looks nice and picture is sharp. Not that robust in terms of build but as a bedroom set you can't go wrong. Thanks OP, have some heat.

Arrived today, very good TV, records to USB stick. Very sharp picture (better that equiv Sony). Well pleased. Being picky there are 3 things I'd mark it down for. Works off power brick so there is a small standby power consumption (although less than a watt). The remote layout is crowded with buttons you never use and the main ones aren't clear. Biggest problem is very tinny sound due to small speakers on the back - but all small flat screens seem to have that issue and as it has a USB slot I plugged in some USB powered speakers (audio from headphone socket) and all now good

Great minds think alike, done exactly the same thing with some £5 speakers from ebuyer, turning this into a v.nice bedroom tv. They should just include external speakers with all LED's as sound seems to be rubbish with all of them.

This is a great TV for the price, bought it yesterday and it's for the bedroom. Plugged in long(ish) usb male->female cable as the usb stick presses against the power plug. Really easy to record (press red) and forward/rewind etc etc. Good menus, good (old world not "pretty", plus point) remote... quite "busy" but feels ok, strong plastics and good button response. Freeview ok, not as good as my Sony 37ex403 (not really fair to compare) but I think I can get it better with tweaking settings. Movies from usb surprisingly good (depending on source quality). Have not tried PS3 or any high def stuff. I have not found speakers to be a problem but I will plug in some externals as suggested previously. Great number of connections.

I've got this unhealthy obsession for updating firmware so if anyone has done it could you please forward the link?! Can't find it on dgm website under downloads

Utterly impressed (for the price) and many thanks for posting this deal.
