As above.

Appears to be a good price and 13amp rated where others are mostly 10amp.

Handy if you are planning on lighting your house up soon like the Griswolds

Thats a good deal, heat added

For IP66 protection (better protection against water, still needs to be raised) and includes a two socket extension, this would be safer,

You do come up with some unusual deals pennyfarthing.
This is a good price, but it worries me slightly when I see a 4G socket with no flex attached inside a weatherproof box - most likely for use outside. Someone out there will connect it to an ordinary piece of cable or flex and plug in into a 13A socket with no fault protection.

The vast majority of these boxes are IP54 including the masterplug brand which incidentally scores well from reviews.

I wouldn't get too hung up on IP ratings for these as providing you don't bury it in a garden pond or swimming pool I think you'll find it's perfectly fine for outdoor use.

I fitted an ip54 rated socket / light switch.. the hinge is on top guess where the water got in and blew the rcd..

IP66 all the way.

You can think what you like - that doesn't make it safe.

Who are the Griswolds ?

I do think what I like and I don't need you to say so! If you believe this isn't safe don't buy one - simple isn't it really' perhaps like you!

Bought one in August and put it in garden for pump and air pumps for fish ponds, no problem whatsoever. Have opened to checked and there was a drop of water got inside. Good price but not a good deal, price is permanent, not reduced in anyway, so no vote for me.

typo * there wasn't a drop of water

Isn't that just a plastic box?
