This has just been reduced again by another quid! Bargain price! I already have a couple which I'm using to renovate a house that's been rewired and I can't fault them.

Bargain. I paid 25 quid a couple of months back. It lasts well, but seems to lose charge if left for a while.

Its a bit flimsy in construction but can't knock it for thr price.

This isn't the battery powered one. The name portable is very misleading.

I ordered two of these today from an email from CPC cpc.farnell.com/pro…005

Hope this helps someone save some money if their just wanting to wall mount the light..

These are ace if you put up a lot of tents un the dark.

Do tents have plug sockets these days ? Seriously I ask as I've never been camping

Yeah. This is the mains powered one.

We had a 15" black & white CRT TV when I was little and it wasn't technically portable but I used to lug it upstairs early in a morning so I could watch it in my room. I never understood the attraction though when they brought out the 7" battery powered flat screens - never really took off did they?

No. I can’t imagine people looking at small screens all day watching TV and videos.

I know what you're getting at but I would never watch TV on my phone. 17" Laptop screen? - Yes. 10-13" tablet? Maybe. 3-7" phone screen? Nah!

Converted a 300W work light with a 10W LED , only needed to drill an extra hole in stand to bolt to. Any slight knock when hot and halogen bulb no more and the blooming heat given off all solved by the LED.
Screwfix 10W LED is £7.49 or the cpc/Farnel.... screwfix.com/p/l…74p

Thanks, in which case this is very average. Its well worth the extra £8 to have a battery one.

Its also misleading that the cord isn't in the picture!
