Showing at £7 on line but £3 in store. Picked this up at B&Q North shields and there was a full palette with printed sign so I'm guessing national?

What would you recommend as a good, easily available charcoal that's not hugely expensive by comparison? I never know what's what when buying the stuff!
Dont vote this too much heat; it might spontaneously combust!

The stuff from lidls pretty good I rate that one in the black bag it was 3 quid for 7kg
The instant light from B&M is pretty decent, £2.99 for a 2kg 2 x 1kg bags. Easy lights and burns nice and hot for 90 mins once flames have died down.
I’m a bbq fanatic and agree that this brand is very poor Honestly the best by far is Home Bargains 5kg BRIQUETTES @£2:99

I had some quick light lumpwood from Lidl recently but it didn't light well and was very smokey in the process. Seemed ok once it was going though. Not sure how long it would burn for though as we put it out before it died.
It's still 7 instore
I picked up two for 11

The stuff I buy I get from Lidl. I’ve honestly tried everything and the best easy light ones are from there. Quite cheap as well

Do you buy lumpwood or briquettes? Quick light or regular? I might try ditching the quick light bag with the stuff I bought and use the chimney starter. Maybe it will smoke less.

I use the briquettes
I bought several of the big 5+2 kg of lidl briquettes, standard ones, not easy light.

I find them really poor? Struggling to get a decent level of heat out of them. Do i just need to get used to them or do other people have the same problem?
