I prefer not have smart in the TV, far better to have it as a separate device, imo

Its £170, you can plugin a chromecast or a multitude of other devices and still get change from £200... Depending on picture and sound quality it looks like a bargain.

I agree that built in smart can be lower quality and functionality than an external box but as long as its got a HDMI and USB for power...

I had the smart version, returned it after almost 4 weeks for a refund, it really is terrible, my daughter has a 32" Digihome she got just before Christmas and that is far better in both picture quality, sound, and pretty much anything else, so I'm not a TV snob :). There was a couple of threads posted last week where I and a couple of others go into more detail. If its for a kids bedroom or something then its a good price but I would honestly pay a bit more and get a better tv, I did!

Its the same tv but with smart functions, check the model number, its just the end bit the smart one has as extra.

Well on the upside if you buy this one, you get 28 days to return it for a refund, and tesco didn't give me any hassle at all so if you are after a cheapie it won't hurt to try, the smart one is only a tenner more though
good find op, heat added

I have Phillip's android smart TV and find the features slow and totally useless compared to the amazon fire stick I use.
I bought this for my sister 2 days ago to replace a 3 year old 39" Blaupunkt that was fortunately covered by Tesco free 5 year warranty.

She wanted a no-frills biggish TV - will be connected to a Chromecast & Laptop.

Even expensive smart TVs suffer from slowness / freezing so not chancing it with the Smart version which was only £10 more.

And if it's true that it can be returned after 28 days, thats a bonus

Yep, that's the point he was making.
Be OK for Jeremy Kyle

I'd honestly buy a better picture 32 " or at a push 40" tv.

Was looking for a largish canvas to go on the wall. This and a Fire stick and load different wallpapers on?

A large picture frame.

No need for Fire stick has a USB and plays video/photo files.

Wow that's some digital photo frame!!!!
What an incredible price for a 43" TV. I have just ordered one, it will be delivered to my local Tesco express (half a mile away) on Tuesday for only £169.
It is a bizarre world we live in: I have just received the BBC's bill for this year's licence and it is almost as much (for channels I don't watch but I am forced to pay for or face the wrath of the criminal courts). Ho hum.

Well, we do watch live TV (ITV, Discovery, Nickelodeon & Disney via Now TV for my son), so I think we still have to pay the licence, which seems unfair, but the BBC has to pay its huge wage bill somehow...

Ah I see, so because you think the quality isn't that good you don't take in to account the price? I'll await a decent deal posting from yourself.

Whenever I see comments like these I suspect they are based on no actual knowledge at all. I doubt that Tragedy has owned one of these TVs, or has even seen one. I have ordered one, if it is no good I'll return it to Tesco and follow up with an informed comment here, if it is a good deal I'll also say so.
why not stop being cheap and buy the samsung from john lewis?

The one that's 3 inches smaller, £50 more and out of stock?
Good idea.
Does anyone know how far apart the feet are on this? Not sure if it will fit in my stand.
I stopped by my local tescos today.
They had a 40" sharp for £131 which I was debating, did my shopping while I thought about it. got the £10 voucher so got it for £121.

Yep, I'm always seeing the great deals people on here get in store.
I had never come across one before, so seized my opportunity.
I'm not even sure where I'm going to put it, it was just too good to pass up.
