Add TV at step one then add one or more of the Now TV Box with Sky Movies or Now TV Box with 3 mths Entertainment Pass

Link to TV's that qualify for the half price Now Box

There are only a few tv's in the link above ^^ that come with extra clubcard points in their own right but the boxes both come with an extra 500 points

You can also combine the offers & add Samsung HW-J355 120W Soundbar with Bluetooth & External Sub for £79 (is £129 but £50 is taken off at checkout

The sound is terrible on these

You'll need the sound speaker. The speakers on the tv are rubbish.

I really thought I was getting a steal at that price and thought it was misprinted but if it's too good to be true it and all that

Worth it easy despite the problems with speakers, ideal for kids room or spare room, thanks op!

May be ok for a small bedroom but a typical lounge it's hard to hear. I hope they fix the speakers and it would be well worth it as it has wifi too

Find a decent soundbar and should be good to go.

How is gaming on it?

Barely a smart tv, I have the 50inch one and got it cheap price back in July last year due to a promo and staff discount on top. It's frustrating that it rarely finds the content from my other devices and has trouble streaming them over wifi anyway, even supported formats on usb have play issues (ie no sound etc), and the apps on it are very limited (basically what you see in the pic and not much else).
Browser very very slow, near impossible to surf due to pop-ups, I was hoping to be able to stream videos on there using the browser but can't because it automatically switches to pop-up pages when you press play and no way to close it or block it which is frustrating. Hit back and push play again and you just get blocked by a different pop-up.
Still great for playing games, and ok if you are really on a budget and I personally have never had a problem with the sound in my bedroom, which is quite large, but others have reported issues with it. I mostly use for gaming and Netflix, picture nice and clear. It's adequate but I don't think I would buy one again to be honest. If you are expecting to use the 'smart' features a lot I would save up for higher end one because you can do so much more with them whilst digihome are limiting, and it can be buggy at times.

Get a better tv without smart features and just purchase a chromecast or another external smart device. better value plus more flexible.

Got a shield and chromecast. I was just making a general point about smart TV's. rather go for better smartless tv and add the smart stud individually.

Is it the speakers or built in amp ? At this price for bedroom be worth sticking your own speakers in ?

I have a Shield too, really good unit, although for what I use it for a Firestick does all I need. I'm going to get the Shield to work with RetroArch and do some retro MAME gaming.

I posted this less than a month ago at £199, and I will warn everyone don't buy it, I'm taking mine back over the weekend.

Sound is terrible, you MUST have a soundbar with it.
Picture is pretty poor, certainly worse than my 6 year old Samsung I bought it to replace, both on SD and HD.
The USB playback isn't bad - except it keeps freezing, and its extremely basic, you have ff and rw 8x speed, and you can type in where to jump to and thats about it, highly annoying when you get half way through something, don't see what the time is and it freezes and goes back to the menu.
The TV guide is faster to open chrome on your pc or phone, search for a guide online and use that, at least it won't be 2 hours behind.
The 'smart' features, pffftttt. I haven't tried netflix and it has a dedicated button on the remote for it so that might be ok,. but iPlayer I get constant buffering, hard wired to a 40mb connection, compared to the samsung, which it never buffered on.

As I say its going back this weekend, and I would suggest not wasting your money. They have an LG 43" for £239, not smart, but nor is this really, which is what I'm going to replace it with.

I agree with everything cryption says above about the 50" model.

EDIT: Forgot to add, MAJOR lipsync issues both on usb playback on normal TV, and the sound goes off when you change channel every now and then.

Just to update this slightly, have just spoken to tesco customer support

She said I was the first person to say the digihome app won't connect (even though the problem is well documented all over the internet)
She said the lip sync problems are because of a bad tv signal (even though it didn't do it on my old tv, and it does it on USB playback and Sky)
She said quite a few have complained about the smart features not working properly.

bought this TV earlier today, but didn't realise you can get now tv and the soundbar bundled with it! Tempted to go back.

Set it up and so far it's pretty good!! sound is terrible but that's what a system or sound bar is for. Netflix quick as was streaming off my plex server. Much MUCH better than the 32" Sharp Aquos i bought this week. Returned that for this.

mine will be used for Netflix, Plex, Ps4 and connecting to mac for Zwift. I think it fits the bill

Can you get the digihome app to connect?
I took mine back tonight, the guy I saw said they had had almost half returned that they sold over the weekend when they were on offer!

Tomas88

****, sound is perfectly fine, it's bloody tv, not sound system

It most certainly isn't fine, don't know what you're used to listening to, maybe a transistor radio from the 80's, but my £15 DAB radio I use in the kitchen is far better than this telly was.

I don't know why this one is so bad, my daughter has a 32" Digihome in her bedroom and thats fine for the price, better picture, sound, no lip sync problems and the USB works fine.

Bought the £200 Aldi Smart TV which, after returning 3, got a 4th which works OK. Not exceptional, the net stuff is slow and puzzling, but TV's good and plays stuff off usb fine. This'll be similar. But soundbar bundled ? WOW. The sound on my Aldi is dismal. OK-ish but needs that soundbar ! (I imagine this'd be same)

Tomas88

If it's anything like the Aldi 40" - no it bloody ISN'T fine. The speakers feel as if it's pointed away from you and behind pillows X)

Does it have dvr Pvr recording functions ?

Will try tonight. Agree that the sound is terrible and anyone that disagrees must have superhero ears. As for comments about browsing - does anyone actually use the TV for this? There will be no pop up blockers available so it would be a nightmare. My samsung smart tv is the 4 times the price and the same.

Netflix loaded in seconds for me, as did the compatible videos from my plex server. Connecting the PS4 tonight.

For 200 quid, this TV is brilliant. Just tempted to ask about getting the soundbar with 50 off as wanted one anyway

for a bit extra i'd go for tesco.com/dir…prd?pageLevel=&skuId=590-9579
or
tesco.com/dir…320

Bought one yesterday and seems alright for the price sound is crap as to be expected at this price tried netflix and iplayer and both work well. Annoyed with tesco as product page on tesco direct said Vesa Size was 400x400mm so ordered a Vesa extension kit for my current wall mount which is 200x200mm but when I unboxed the tv it was actually 200x200mm. Flicked through the manual a feature called FollowMe sounded good allowing you to stream a live channel from the tv to your tablet but looks like it not aviliable on this tv as the app keeps saying you need to enable it on the telly even though their is no option in tv settings.

All online functions work really well, especially netflix. I have a solid 60mb d/l speed so maybe that helps. Wifi adaptor on it also picks up 5mhz frequency.

Annoying Tesco won't price match their own package online offer and give the £50 discount for the Samsung soundbar, so I've had order that again and will be taking this TV back on Monday to get another one :-/

Oddly, mine has stopped working on the app screen. I can load up the page with the apps like iplayer, bbc sport, twitter etc but I can no longer navigate them and select any. Weird as it worked last week but yesterday and today nothing. Definitely not a problem with the remote so must be the tv itself. Odd that its stopped working now, since I haven't had an update in ages. Still in warranty so probably another return for Tesco, but a shame as you cant really beat the size for the price.

Have you tried this, I couldn't get it to connect at all

play.google.com/sto…_GB

You must be 12 or over to buy this item.

Damn, I'm out.

Can this tv access the Amazon video app? Or would you need a fire stick or something similar

wishihadadonkey

but it's going to be fine for my girls rooms.

Voted cold as I don't have a girl's room. The tv snobbery on here is just laughable. People always posting a product and then quick to distance themselves from it being their primary TV, and only good enough for a secondary tv. No one cares where you put it, if its a good deal then post it. You don't need to tell everyone how better you are. Rant over. Gotta love Mondays.

Just ordered one with the Discount code above and got the TV Now packet deal all for £159 as I had clubcard vouchers to use so can't complain as it's only going into the conservatory to occasional use streaming from my microserver and raspberry pi, so I'm happy with that.

Cheers OP

Bless you, if I didn't already have a perfectly good working TV for the lounge (4yrs old), I might have bought this one for there, but since I do & I'm not one for buying stuff just to get the latest upgrade, I didn't, but what I did do, since my girls wanted a tv for their rooms & the one they were sharing stopped working was buy this for them & with the now tv box & pass they will be extremely happy & with the 2000 extra clubcard points, we will have a nice meal out or day out somewhere too.
Oh and I NEVER run away from my deals, at my age it would be more of power walk with a sit down after 20 yards or so

Voted cold because you don't have a girl's room? I thought I'd seen every ridiculous reason for voting a deal cold. Seems I hadn't.

And where does the OP display TV snobbery? I've read it a couple of times and all I can see is honesty in warning people not to expect a top of the range TV for their £200.
