I wish the Samsung 65j9000 was this price

Budget Quality? at 65 inch you'll want the best you can get.

Good price for a 65 inch so heat
you get what you pay for might look great on the wall but don't think it would look as good when turned on :-)

HEAT!

Brilliant size, picture and spec for less than a grand ;-)

£200 off will not last long [see previous tesco fly by night sales on hukd.. eg: Ricoh Laser printer thread!] so if yu want a big screen, smarty pants TV of gigantic proportion, it is a crazy price!

these large screen ( 55 and above ) from the cheaper makers ( Digihome and Funlux etc ) look good but usually they're not that great, you get what you pay for and ( especially in my case with a 55" Finlux ) i was disappointed... i agree that if your looking at a panel this big go for a better make, you wont regret it

Any help or review on this tv would be much appreciated
The 50 inch model on tesco gets some great reviews just cannot found anything on this model

"Don't need it but I'm sitting looking at the wall thinking I should buy it anyway"

And there goes another classic HUKD purchase! Christ knows how many millions of pounds worth of spur of the moment referrals this website has given retailers over the years!

The wife says I can have it but she's no happy about it lol

Even rang tesco and they have said I have 28 days to return the tv if I am not happy
Don't know what's stopping me lol

The reaction from your missus... I hope you're not expecting to get some over Easter. Everyone knows "You can have it," means "But if you do you're not having me for a while!"

Can anyone please assist with a review? Very tempted at this price. Appreciate the comments - you get what you pay for. Mainly to be used to watch Sky HD. Also looked at the 65" Finlux TV and the 65 Hisense monitor. Working to a tight budget. Your views/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I have been looking all day did find a model number which i think could be but there are no reviews
any where and the websites are not in English
Digihome 65FHS151 (65"), LED-tv
Let me know because I want to buy it and also use it for sky /ps4 etc

Also the picture of the back the tv shows 4 HDMI inputs but in the description it says 2 so could be a different tv

Ok, after letting the googoogadgets loose for a bit, it *seems* to be this rebadged Vetel TV:

Which is a good thing, as other than the finish on the frame on the Tesco Digihome being black
the Vestel 65" is a very good seller in Europe.

Brill thankyou I have ordered one as I do think it's a great price compared to other 65inch tv
I did own the Panasonic TX-P65VT50B but sold it last year to go down the projetor route
I know it's not going to be as good but for £599 it's got to be worth the gamble
If not happy after a week I will send it back
Cheers again :-)

Thanks 008. Really useful. How does it compare with the Finlux or Hisense in your opinion?

so does this have 4 hdmi like the pic/vestel specs?

Also this helps vestel.co.uk/ seems like they make all the budget brands like celcus and techwood too

If they are instore why not get of your fat **** and go and have a look with your own eyes ,and treat yourself to a Burger King on the way back (other fast food restaurants can be used )

I'll bet anyone 50 pence that the panel on this TV is awful. My dad bought similar, and as earlier comments have said, you can really see the poor quality of the panel on a TV of this size. Honestly, go for something smaller and better reviewed. Size isn't everything (insert lame nob/wife joke here...)

Not sure what Sammy are on, pitching the 9000 so close to the upcoming LG 65" OLED's price

Cheapest 65" ever?

The budget brands aren't manufacturing panels of this size, anything over 42" is likely to be a Samsung or LG panel. It's the driver boards that let them down.

Great price! But I think 60" is the limit... Unfortunately for me, I'd have bigger X)

It's amazing how quick you get accustomed to a larger screen

My main TV is a VT65. I suspect this will look pretty terrible in comparison.

I have a smaller Digihome TV. From memory I think it's a 22" one (it's been retired now). Was a bedroom TV and it's only input used to be from an old 5.8ghz SD video sender. The PQ from that was not very good so I was OK with the TV. But ... I upgraded my video sender to an HD one recently. That (unfortunately) showed up just how bad the TV was. The light bleed was horrendous. Colours were not good and the picture generally just wasn't very even. Viewing angles also terrible but I knew that before the sender upgrade.

It's since been replaced with a decent Panasonic 32" LCD/LED and the difference is night and day.

Given how bad it looked at 22", I hate to think what a 65" one from them will be like! At that size, theres no escaping any shortcomings.

Good luck to those taking the gamble ...

They are not instore, this is Tesco Direct catalogue..... Clue is in the title Already called around to check, they don't even know at the tesco technical help line lol.

Although Burger King app does have some good deals.

"Caveat Emptor" comes to mind!!.I totally agree with "Pokerkingbouch" Wait a while, save up and buy quality. You will be very glad you did. I have a 55" Sony and very pleased. Prior to retirement I was the "Brown Goods" Buyer for a very large Electrical Retailer.

I am not looking for amazing quality (i'll leave that for my main TV) I just want something for my consoles so 1080p will do me if the picture quality is reasonable. I have a cheap 42" Bush TV doing the job not but hey, 65" spare TV for gaming? Worth it just for the reaction from my mates lol.

Also could you confirm if it is 4 or 2 HDMI ports as the pic contradicts the description and the technical line don't have a clue either!

Bigger is not always better tho. Best to check input lag times and refresh rates, or your mates will be laughing at your new laggy TV

Should be here Wednesday pal so will update then
Not holding my breath lol but I might be pleasantly surprised ;-)

True, Saying that the 'expensive' brands are not always worth the extra. I got a cheap LG and Bush TV and a 50" Panasonic for £1000, which had a nice plasma screen but absolutely terrible support. It was supposed to be Freeview HD but the HD channels didn't work for ages and the ethernet port was all but useless as they only managed to limp out BBC Iplayer on the set about 6 months after I bought it!

The Bush TV on the other hand was 42", USB media playback, 3D with 4 sets of glasses and worked great, picture was also good enough for gaming and this cost me £300.

The key to these budget sets is if the screen and main board are from a decent supply. Tesco have had some rebadged TVs with decent screens before so here's hoping the reviews from those who have bought one are favourable... Otherwise PC World have an all singing and dancing 65" for £1499 which looks great (is it £800 more greatness is the question)

Nice! Yeah hopefully it's good, no reason it shouldn't be. Look forward to the review!

lol

There are plenty reasons it may not be good. The main one being it's size. As I said, the bigger the TV, the more obvious the flaws ...

The 55" 4K OLED was just released with RRP @ £3800, but Curry's already had a 10% voucher and bringing it down to £3420 and further 10% of Quidco possibly.

The 65" had a JL link showing RRP £5999 and some EU links at €6500 (approx £4800) but isn't out just yet. Given where the street price of the previous sets ended up (against RRP, last years models dropped rapidly), I can't see how an LED backlit LCD can command anywhere near £4k. IMO those OLEDS will be within that territory pretty quickly. Someone spending even £3k on a TV is likely prepared to stump up another £1K for an OLED IMO

If it turns out to be a good buy and I do decide to keep it (long shot) the first thing I will do is buy a Sony or Panasonic badge of eBay and stick it over the digihome badge
Then just make out lol
