Displaying favourite photographs in the kitchen by sticking them to the fridge with a fridge magnet is something that everyone is familiar with. But we are in the 21st century now, so what if the fridge magnet itself could display not one, but a whole selection of pictures? Well, this new Digital Photo Frame Fridge Magnet can do just that!

Digital Photo Frames are now common technology but this takes the concept and shrinks it down into a handy size that has a magnetic back, perfect for attaching to a fridge. It also comes with a fold-out support strut so that it can be displayed to great effect on a shelf or mantelpiece too.

Able to scroll through up to sixty-six images as a slideshow, the digi-frame can also be paused on a favourite picture!

Hope it's got a strong magnet as the amount of hectic traffic past my fridge would soon see it in pieces on the floor otherwise.

I was going to ask if the magnet was strong and will it sustain the constant opening and closing of the door.
Its a good price and would make a good gift for xmas. Heat added :-) xx

this seems kinda ok... I wonder if it is hackable in any way shape or form?

the 11 hours battery is a bit unfortunate. i wouldnt be able to have it plugged in all the time, so it would mean constantly having to move it and put it on charge.

i still think it would be a very good idea if you can have it somewhere where a plug is available.

half tempted, but the 11 battery liffe makes it bit of a novelty!

IMO, its not worth bothering with until they start using eink in these devices which will extend battery life.

Nice Idea in theory, but would anyone really like a wire trailing from their Fridge door to the nearest Wall Socket

na you dont want a plug going away from your fridge, the 11 hrs is a bummer tbh

There's more chance of it being seen if I place it inside the fridge :whistling:

HA HA :-D

am i missing something?? A magnet that you take offt to charge every 11 hours or if it comes with a/.c a wire hanging from front of fridge to a/c wall socket?? how annoying would that be!!!:whistling:

66 pics makes it a novelty, just not worth it for such a low count.

Being able to display 69 pics would make it more interesting :whistling: :-D

Where to begin? It creates an annoying obligation to charge it up every day or it's just a magnet. If you do remember this chore then it uses up electricity. Whenever you go to the fridge (primarily a device for storing cold food and drink) you have to stare at it for a bit or you've wasted money buying the magnet. Most of the time it'll be displaying pictures to an empty kitchen or trying to compete with the portable TV. Eighteen quid will buy a couple of hundred prints of digital photos you can put in a box and blutac to the front of the fridge. They'll have excellent resolution and they're easy to change when you get bored with them.

Ideal wedding present though.

The 66 image limit seems a bit odd, considering it has 32MB of memory - thats about :

- 140 .bmp
- 320 .jpg at quality of 10 (out of 100, with 0 being the highest)
- 600 .gif at maximum quality and dithering

.. I can't decide if its a bargain as its limited (lack of SD card slot). Screen is very small, but the resolution is good for its size. I guess the designers ordered in a load of mobile phone screens and batteries and a cheap SOC with 32MB of flash memory builtin?

I'm wondering, now, if the 32MB memory is a typo - might it be 32Mb (4MB) which could hold 66 medium quality .jpeg images?

I like it and have ordered one. My wife loves photos everywhere and we have a proper one in the front room which she switches on every time she enters the room.

lol

It would also attach to a filing cabinet at work where there is more likely to be a plug and use their electric!:whistling:
