Does what it says on the tin.

Seems to have 80+ reviews on Amazon.co.UK with the majority of people giving it 5/5 or 4/5 stars.

Good price. I think the cheapest digital one in Halfords is something in the £20s.

I own one of these and would highly recommend it.
I paid a lot more for it :-(
This is the model to go for, don't bother with other crappy versions.

I bought an analog electric pump sometime ago. It was very slow and seem to struggle so I returned it. The pressure guage was also not accurate. Is it any better?

Heres a tip for everyone.....

The one in this thread looks like a copy / unbranded version of the Ring RAC600 which has won this years auto express best buy for inflators. A trader on Amazon called Fastcardirect is selling the Ring version for £19.99 which I thought was a better deal than the unbranded one linker here.

BUT!

I received mine today as I bought one at the weekend and they have sent me a Ring RAC630 instead with a comp slip stating they are doing free upgrades for everyone for a limited time as Ring has updated the 600 to the 630..... for £19.99 delivered.

]http//ww…uct

I used it tonight and its great, does exactly what it says on the tin, quickly and quietly.......... I know its only a few ££ more if you was buying the 630 version, but its a couple of ££ back in ya pocket!

Nice tip, will go for that. Thanks. Nearly bought something less impressive at Maplins earlier today.

I've got a Ring and it's great :thumbsup::p

Seriously, dont buy the imitation one.

This one is probably built by the same company that build the ring version, i.e. an OEM manufacturer, going off the number of people who rate this, I would save a few quid and get this over the ring - same thing but cheaper!

I agree they are the same thing, but they are also the same price on the site. The OEM one just gets you some free MP3s.

There is a chance ordering the Ring one will get you an upgrade to a higher spec model, so basically it's which 'offer' you prefer really.

I think have the same, also from Amazon. I expected it to have an adapter for bike tyres but no joy.

One reviewer of the non-branded version on Amazon says that he was dissapointed with the valve attachment as it was the 'lever' type rather than the screw-on type on the Ring model.

The 630 one I received has one

EDIT - actually, I would need to check as it might just be an adaptor for footballs / air beds etc......

thanks a666andy, i'll give that a go.
actually hoping to use it for mtb tyres (tubeless), not sure the flow rate is enough, but if not it'll still be used for car tyres.

edit: hah, 2 posts above about bike tyres,
ok if you need a presta-schrader adapter you can get brass ones for 99p (bit more delivered) from several sites:
google.co.uk/pro…g=p

other thing i'm looking forward to is consistent pressure, makes a huge difference to handling and my track pump is knackered. only real difference between car and bikes tyres (apart from valve and pressure) is the volume - on a road tyre you might have trouble with accuracy, not sure? large volume mtb tyres should be fine.

R.E RING RAC600 model

Same model on ebay with free LED Light & storage case, but £1.44 more.

also states....

2 Piece Fitting kit included to inflate:

Car / Motorbike tyres, Bicycles, Footballs & Inflatables.

seller as sold over 700 units

I have this one and it is, frankly - amazing

I have this, and this is really good! It pumps the car tyres up really quickly and is solidly built.

Its not a copy, it is the ring one but just does not have the logo on as they were originally made for overseas and could not put the logo on incase it clashed with other breand names around the world.....but it is the same ones you are linking to.

Whats so special about that price? It was around £16 on amazon a few weeks back. This is the normal price.

Thanks for the tip. Went for this one as less bothered about £2 worth of MP3's.

Would agree. I posted the Amazon offer a few weeks back when it was about £16 and this is its normal price.

Aside from that it is a very good product and has saved a lot of hassle.

Nice one  just ordered one from fast car direct

fastcardirect.co.uk/car…tml

it says " ***THIS MONTH ONLY*** ***FREE UPGRADE TO THE NEW RING RAC630 MODEL*** " in the product description.

Not sure I need one, but the number of times I have to drive around to looking for air pump at the garages (they all seem to breakdown at the same time), may be I should not resist.. Ordered. Cheers for all the tips.

Thanks OP

I've got one of these, it great. Sensible to keep in the boot!

I have one of these. It was rated best buy in a test of about 15 others by Auto Express. A good deal.

so this is hot even though you can get a better one for the same price?
strange...

I bought this exact model from Amazon last time it was on HUKD and have to say, it's a very good product. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. There's lots that will think "shall we get this one or the ring or the ping or whatever blah blah blah" and end up confused. Want some advice from someone that owns this model.... Just go for it, it's a top product.

these sound great but if they are regularly on offer at around £16 i'll wait until then...

thanks just ordered from 7day shop

whats the dimensions?

i have this one and would advise to avoid. utter rubbish. noisy, slow and bounces all over the place.

Should always read reviews of a product before buying.... Blind date days are over thanks to the internet.

Just get this product mate, it's very good and nothing like the one you've linked to.

dimensions in its carry case =
W=8"
D=7¼"

Buy it!

I have had one of these for a while, great machine but this it's price.:-D i would advise that every car should have one:-

had no choice with this one, the previous halfords one i bought was powerful but packed up after a few weeks and i lost the receipt, so i took it back to exchange it but was discontinued. had to make do with their 'newer' version which is pants :x

Sorry, the product was not found. ??? :?

Would also like to add for all those ladies out there who get a flat tyre, most punctures (nail in the tyre etc) can usually be re-inflated and driven on for short distances. So I would always advise having one of these in the boot, learn how to use it, re-inflate the flat tyre, then you can have the wheel changed a lot easier and safer at home than by the roadside in the cold etc.
