I’ve had this for 6months and just recently it has started to crack even tho I kept it in great condition. Just a heads up

Nice price and nice looking kettle
pretty good, only downside is that its not rapid boil and takes noticeably longer to boil than 3kw one
glass feels bit on a thin side though, feel like a smallest bump anywhere would crack it
bought it on here last time it was listed and so far so good
Bought it from previous deal, seems to boil quick enough and looks great - not had any bother from it so far.

Thank you for the link

Recommend the Dihl kettles as they have a 12 Month Guarantee, which is worth the little extra IMO.

There is also this kettle at £11.99. Which is cheaper still.

rapid boil simply means its a 3kw one but one listed is actually 2kw so same as one here
2kw it'll be slow as hell
How do you keep these looking pristine?

Use filtered water

Not much in it to be fair. One can always pay a higher price for a 3000W modal. This ticks a lot of boxes for the price
Let’s be patient enough in life to wait for even another 30 seconds to boil for such a beautiful looking kettle.
The Aldi glass kettles (regular special buy item) have recently been upgraded from 2000kw to 3000kw (so yes, Rapid boil) with no increase in price and they use "Schott" branded glass.

£19.99 with a 3 year guarantee. If the kettle is on a lot in your house, it's certainly worth a few quid extra.
why make a kettle with visuals everybody knows a watched kettle never boils.
Had one of these at work, terrible quality. Lasted about 2 months and fell apart. Took an age to boil and looks rubbish once limescale sets in. Avoid

I know how badly people treat things that isn't theirs in an office, so I'm not surprised!
Don't have this but I use citric acid as a descaler for any item that needs it. Costs pence to do, takes a minute or so and it's a food grade product, tastes sour as hell though if you don't rinse properly

Do you put citric acid and boil the kettle or just rinse with it please?

'According to household blog One Good Thing by Jillee, you just need to fill your kettle halfway full with water and bring it to a boil. Turn the kettle off, add a couple of tablespoons of citric acid powder to the water, and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes.'

Amen brother.
word of warning about these cheap glass kettles from eBay.
I bought this exact one 2 months ago, and its a real pain.

When pouring water into your mug, you need to tilt it, much more than a normal Kettle (as in close to 150/160 degrees) because the nozzle the water comes out from is soo small and shallow.

Clearly a design flaw.
A+ for look / aesthetics
B- for functionality

Can anyone recommend a fairly quiet kettle? My current one sounds like Concorde during take off.

As above, I boil, then add it in. It doesn't need much. & you can do it without boiling, but boiling makes everything happen quickly.

I had this delivered today, and to my surprise, the one delivered didn't look anything like the one purchased! It was a plain white plastic kettle. To the credit of the seller, I have been issued an return for refund offer.

This is a 2000W and therefore is not rapid. Go for a 3KW kettle everytime. By the laws of physics pumping 3kw in to boil water will always be a lot faster than 2Kw.
