I haven't seen reasonably priced high output dimmable GU10 LEDs in daylight before. I've been converting my home to daylight as I much prefer this light, I'm finding more family and friends are enjoying daylight too.
Most of the listed lamps are OOS presently though have just been highlighted in a recent catalogue so I imagine they'll be arriving shortly. 25th June according to naich. CPC will email you when in stock or you can order now to be delivered when in stock.
Light output is listed below along with CPC part numbers and prices. PLEASE NOTE: these lamps may not fit your existing fittings, check before you place bulk orders. Also, these may not work with your existing dimmer (typically LEDs require a special dimmer).
Cue the cold clinical daylight debate. Lighting is very subjective. I strongly recommend you give daylight a try, don't assume anyone elses dislike will apply to you. Daylight lamps are great to work under and some have suggested they suffer fewer SAD effects while using them(someone will be along shortly to debunk this too!).

Great post with plenty of info. Heat!

Are the 5W LEDs equivalent to 50W halogen?

Yes, roughly, though if you are planning on cool or daylight they will likely seem brighter.

Heat! I'm interested to know if anyone has found a suitable 'dimmer' for led bulbs? thanks in advance

Something like this should be suitable for up to 10 led gu10s.

Not necessarily plug and play though so read the instructions.

No... a 50w halogen produces ~900 lumens. therefore you need approx 9W of LED light to produce this in today's GU10 fittings. Obviously this is changing year on year.

Sounds like you don't use these, otherwise you would know modern 5 Watt LED Gu10s are comparable to 50W tungsten. Where did you get the notion of 900 lumens, they're some special lamps.

Nice find, l am probably stating the obvious but would these work if l do not require them to be dimmable?

Looking at the picture, I initially thought this post was about a toilet X)

Yes, these will work with a switch though you'll be cheaper buying non-dimmable lamps.LP0783018 is the non-dimmable 5 Watt daylight version which is £3.35 at the moment (£2.93 for 5+). More information on my previous post (though prices have changed). hotukdeals.com/dea…850
I'll update with cheaper part numbers soon.

What are you on about? The visible lumen numbers don't lie, stop believing all the marketing drivel.

Taken from Osram website relating to a 50 Watt GU10....
Photometrical data
Nominal useful luminous flux 90° 300 lm
Feel free to back up your 900 lumens output comment!

I'm having a nightmare with LED bulbs - want to replace my GU10's but all the bulbs I've seen in action seem quite 'white' and clinical to me

Can anyone advise what to look out for that will give me something nearer to the yellow light from the halogen GU10's

What type of fittings do these bulb require?
Would they work with these - https://www.brightlightz.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/small_image/135x135/0dc2d03fe217f8c83829496872af24a0/b/r/brushed-downlight-update_1.jpg (brightlightz.co.uk/240…ish)

It's likely the 3.5 and 5 Watt versions will fit. The 7 and 9 Watt versions are less likely though CPC don't have believable measurements for these yet.

Thanks, yeah the sizes for 7&9 watts don't seem right from their site.

Mine are MR16 dimmable halogens, can someone give me a link for the led ones please

Got in contact with them earlier regarding when they would complete the order and they have me a new approximate date of 1/8/15
