Shocking no veggie/vegan option with veggie and vegan on the increase in the UK.
Another example of M&S lacking vision.

Thanks.
Not one single vegetarian option??

No Fish or Veggie option, not for me.
just be careful with the wines I got the last dine in and the wine although on the stand at the side of the meal deal didnt come off as it wasnt included yet there was more than one bottle of it there and it was the one that is usually included in these offers .didnt realise until later as had used gift card and sparks discount and got other shopping although I did contact them and got a gift card back.
Its not a deal if theres no trifle!
Hang on, was this not just on a week ago?
The new burgers are fantastic

Currently 3. 2 packs for a tenner or you get 2 2 packs in the dine in for a tenner

They take a little while to cook but they are cracking
will give this a miss until the next time puddings are an option

slightly different deal last week
Marks and Spencer spent a year developing their "best ever burger".
Sounds more like they need a few more chemical engineers.

Great not having the puddings as I am diabetic and cant eat the puddings. Hopefully they do it this way all the time now and cut out the puddings.

If its 7% now, which is possible if surveys are 100% correct.
Then 1 in 14 are vegetarian.
That is what is known as a minority.
Just to make it clear I eat some vegetarian meals, I am not against it just not sure why it always has to be a an option especially when they are only offering restricted amount of mains on thios offer.

I asked you would you like to quote the percentage?

1in 8 is 12.5% but in my house it's 25%. What percentage of people want only cows, pigs, lambs and chickens in their diet?
scunny7 m ago

1 in 8 do you? …1 in 8 do you? https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/health/517246/Vegetarians-are-on-the-increase-in-Britain

You quote from 2014, and that is well wide of the mark.
You honestly belive 1/8 is vegetarian in UK.

Fact is it is on the increase and as previously mentioned if four in a family and just one veggie/vegan that's a big % of dissatisfied customers, as it effects the whole family.
BTW I'm not veggie.
Edited by: "deleted1336857" 12th Jun
The 75% of my family who will eat meat do eat other things than cow, pig, lamb or chicken.
fearona5 m ago

I ate veg sheps pie last night by choice, beat that!

Nice that you had a choice of foods other than cows, pigs, lambs and chickens M&S don't provide that option in this deal again.

We sell many vegetarian, and some vegan, wines. Please check the back of the label for details.Better check the wine as well.

If one veggie in family not catered for, then Whole family unhappy.
It's not fair to have 'you're alright Jack, while I have beans on toast!'.
Therefore it puts the purchaser of these deals off buying.

I don't know M&S sales figures but would hazard a guess and say many buy X2 for whole family of four.

Your links are for vegans, whilst the one in eight figure from 2014 is for vegans and vegetarians (so now likely to be even higher). That's a significant minority, in statistical terms, not a very small one. So your argument is wrong, especially as the original complaint was about veggies not being catered for and you are looking at vegans.

If you add in the numbers of people who eat fish but not meat, then the proportion of the population not catered for is even higher.

Then you also have people like me who, given the choice between battery farmed, probably Halal slaughtered chicken and veggie/fish, will choose the latter every time. I'm not attracted by this offer and won't be rushing down to my nearest M&S, whereas if there had been a nice butternut squash curry...

There's no excuse for it, especially as M&S do a lot of veggie meals. It's also bad business: M&S results haven't been great lately so you would think that they would be trying to appeal to as many people as possible. They wouldn't put a special offer on in another part of their store and then bar people with blonde hair from buying it, so why do something equally self-defeating with their food offers?

Don't worry I just reported the person to the admin and had their comments removed. I advise you should do the same.
It's a shame they don't include beer and cider anymore
Thought I’d get the steak but they seem to have chosen the most fatty and gristly ones they could find. Got the whole chicken and 2 packs off frites (one for freezer). Not bad
