Good spot! Just applied for a voucher just in case we find ourselves in London before the end of February

Thanks, shame the menu isn't online (Homegrown and Local that is)

Edit, oh it is, just isn't labelled on the site, just had the PDF logo with no words.

And it appears that you are getting your wine and coffee for free, and the cost of 2 courses is £29.

So in effect it's a free bottle of wine and a cup of coffee. Still a pretty good offer.

Anyway is not worth it in my view. Go to the Cafe du Marche next door and spend £20 more for a proper tasty meal for two. (talking about Barbican here)

Thanks for this menu link, been after it. And BONUS it's the manchester one too! Good, cos i'm booked in there 15th Feb ;-)

I did actually get this voucher a while ago from MSE (Last weekend). But cheers for putting it on here OP

Great find!

As I'm here, quite how they justify the price of a goats' cheese* and rocket risotto being the same price as haddock or chicken is beyond me as not only are the ingredients cheaper, so is the preparation. Not just picking on Malmaison here as the overpricing of veggie meals is a widespread problem in restaurants in my experience.

And no, I'm not a veggie, as many a dead pig/hake/pheasant/mussel would attest were they able.

* Unless it really does come from blue goats in which case, I'm in!

This same offer is also availabel at Hotel du Vin if there is not a Malmaison in your town

Birmingham
Brighton
Bristol
Cambridge
Cheltenham
Glasgow
Edinburgh
Harrogate
Henley-on-Thames

never mix wine with coffee, it is bad for you poopie

Had a meal in the Newcastle Hotel just before new year.

I would describe the food as 'edible' at best.

The service was shocking, maybe the worst I have ever had. deffo bottom 3 ever.

The wife and I tried to leave before the staff brought out our already paid for desserts, due to the wait. They then kept us waiting even longer to sign to say we had got the meal,by which time they had brought out the desserts.

Would maybe eat there again if it was free, MAYBE.

Just booked a table at Hotel Du vin in Brighton, its got a really good rep in Brighton, looking forward to checking it out for myself !
Good find, heat added !!!!

In case that people did not know the normal price per person is £14.50 for a 2 course Homegrown and Local menu...
