I had to go to a black tie Christmas party and have been looking at options. Hiring cost was £40 so it made sense to own one for those occasions. Yeah, it will not be used every month but I am geared up to do to networking events as well so it made sense to me. Hope this helps others as well. The salesman said that this is normally £200 for the suit then extra for others (took it with a pinch of salt)

Nice find, was looking for a suit for a cruise next year.

Defo good find......also been looking for a dinner suit for hubby for a cruise next year, only problem is he will start the cruise with a 38inch waist and end it 42inch!! I'll get the bigger size and he will have to wear a belt for the 1st week! Lol. X

fab deal, thanks !

It's also worth looking in Matalan - I seem to remember you could get a dinner jacket/trousers for £60-70 or something? I bought one about 6-7 years ago and it's still going strong!

I wanted a 33inch waist but they had only 32 or 34 but they have an adjustable button loop to slightly reduce the size. However not from 42inch to 38inch I think LoL

M&S outlet is mostly out of stock when I wanted and they did not do an all in one deal. Also, I was able to walk in, try one and pick it

no shoes or socks...so cold
feet

Have a look at Slaters so much better quality.

This offer isn't a tailored one like in the photo though. I had a look at these last week and they were pretty shapeless on me, so not great for a smaller person. If you're a bit broader or heavier built (I'm not saying fat as that's not what I mean) then these are good. Sadly the better fitting ones for me were all £200 or more. So instead of buying a new suit for the Christmas party, I just wrapped a load of battery powered Christmas lights around my shirt. Nobody noticed I was wearing the same as last year and it only cost me £7.99!!

Not sure what you mean by had a look. I went yesterday and tried it and bought one. The fit is good.

I went in to Moss Bros, saw the suits on offer (they've had this deal in the window for at least a week now), and saw they were a regular fit rather than a tailored or slim fit. As I said, I'm sure regular fit is fine for most, but for me being quite small the cut of a regular fit suit swamps me and looks like a child who's borrowed his dad's suit (I'm 38, so prefer to look like I've bought my own suit).

My comment was just to let anyone who wants a slim fitting suit, that the deal is just for a regular fitting suit. It's quite an important factor for me when buying a suit, so I'm sure I'm not alone.

shame - I thought these were onesies
