For some reason Rock 'N' Roll Children was my fave song at about 14 - no idea what the rest of their stuff is like...

"Last in line","Man on the silver mountain","Rainbow in the dark" - excellent stuff. Sorry to learn he passed away today. RIP Dio.

gutted rip

WOW - I only just heard because of you post - RIP.

Thanks for posting, shocked & gutted too. What a legacy in music he has left behind. I've seen him live in concert so many times and he was still belting them out like he has always done well into his 60's with Heaven & Hell - I thought he would go on forever!

R.I.P sadly missed !

RIP Ronnie James Dio

Gutted, shocked, was really looking forward to seeing him in Dublin in July, just had my tickets delivered

That is really sad to hear. I only just found out from this thread. Genuinely a really nice guy, what a shame .

Gather the wind
Though the wind won't help you fly at all
Your back's to the wall
Then chain the sun
And then it turns around and face you
As you run, you run, you run!

RIP Ronnie, a true legend and the greatest EVER Metal singer

cash in coming cds will go up!!

Yeah, Ronnie will be really missed. I saw him 3 times in concert and despite his age he was always on form and gave a great show. Something that these young pretenders who mime could certainly learn a thing or two from. RIP to the greatest voice in rock!

Didn't Eminem do a song called 'Stan' that featured this artist?

Rock in peace to the legend

what can i say... Holy Diver! RIP

"Dio has rocked for a long, long time. Now it's time for him to pass the torch"

R. I.P Dio

Absolute quality to the very end.

Rest In Peace, Ronnie James Dio.

Ordered tickets to go see Dio in November at Manchester. The gig (and rest of the tour) was cancelled due to Ronnie James Dio being admitted to hospital. Words can not describe how gutted i was when i heard of the news.

A true legend. RIP

RIP Ronnie

Your music will live on for ever :-(

Loved him on Rainbows first album.

"Message from Wendy Dio
Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever.

- Wendy Dio"

Sad day.

Out of stock I've put the Diamond CD up elsewhere but here is if for £4.49

A huge loss to us all - Stargazer on Planet Rock just now. What a voice

Listen to the Hear 'N Aid charity single Stars if you wanna get an idea of how good RJD was. Geoff Tate (Queensryche) was the only one who came close to him in terms of vocal performance.

What a great voice he had...will live on in his music at least...RIP

At least Planet Rock will honour his passing away!

]StarGazer Haven't heard that for years, my god what a vocal, a rock legend.

:-D It made me laugh too! I am just trying to picture Ronnie James Dio singing "White Flag" lol.

RIP Dio.
Rainbow Rising. Best album. Ever ->

RIP Dio. I'm a big Jack Black fan and I'm sure he'll be upset.

Hope this is okay..

A compilation I put together on Spotify for anyone who wants to check out just how good a singer he was...
