Eau Sauvage is an iconic EDT but this one wont win any accolades. It smells a little like what you clean your toilet with. Treat yourself to a bottle of Eau Sauvage instead. You wont be disappointed.

Eau sauvage is better, however I found it didn't last long on me at all

Can't really agree at all there, I have had the Eau Sauvage parfum which I like but a bit dated to be honest this is a totally different more modern scent, I think to say it smells like something you clean your toilet with is a ridiculous comment.

I collect EDT's but cant say I am an expert. For anyone reading the comments here I can only say have a look at some of the reviews online then have a sniff of the said EDT and decide for yourself.. I picked out a couple online that echo my thoughts on the matter so maybe my comment was not so "ridiculous" after all.

" it smells cheap and abrasive (like a Whole Foods "natural" household cleaner)." review from "Now Smell This"

"Those who enjoy the nuances of a synthetic-smelling metallic white coat lab disinfectant stirred into existence with opaque latex gloves and sterile face masks, (the latter of which are more aptly designed for being exposed to scents like this)......You should love it. I'd rather have the mask." Review from "Fragrantica"

A bit harsh however I found Dior Sauvage to be too soapy generic type of smell and certainly not distinctive enough to warrant the price. Much prefer Dior Homme or bleu de chanel.

This is one of my most complicated fragrances

Aljack I guess its horses for courses so its going to please some and not others.I was just defending my corner on how the scent came across for me. The following review from basenotes.com probably sums it up even better :-
"This is the essence of ordinary and vulgar, also an extremely synthetic fragrance, you can sniff this walking around in shopping malls, train stations, movie theaters and of course public bathrooms, specially if those are closed momentarily for cleaning." Not harsh I think, this is the essence of this scent. Lets see if it has staying power or disappears from the shelves in no time.

It is definitely a synthetic fragrance, no one can disagree with that; but its certainly not akin to toilet cleaner. Worth a try if you've not used before but sure, don't invest 200ml on a blind buy.
