Only £249 from Manchester
We flew with them last August to LA. Excellent airline top notch service. We were two adults and 1 child for £930. They are stopping this route this October. Just be warned the US isn't as cheap as it used to be.

Tempted. What are Air New Zealand like?

Amazing. They are a very innovative airline (e.g. they have a 'skycouch' - essentially, a mattress spread over 3 economy seats) and have one of the more comfortable long-haul economy seats that I have experienced - the seat didn't recline as much as other airlines but was much more ergonomic and shaped to your body.

That is an absolutely stonking deal. Great airline, incredible price for August as it’s usually ballpark £800 that time of year even on lesser airlines.
Op do you know checked baggage allowance? I can’t find details on travel up
wow bargain. shame we've already booked mexico else i'd be all over this

Flew them 4 years ago and they were fantastic, staff, food etc... Probably just edge Virgin Atlantic as the best carrier on this route in my opinion.
I assume this is the ANZ closing down sale for this route.

Great price for a good airline if you fancy LAX for a holiday.
My favourite airline to fly with. As someone else has said they are stopping this route at some point late this year or early next. I was lucky enough to fly it a few years ago. If you want something to do in la drive up to San Fran then over about a week drive back down the Pacific coast highway. It’s an awesome trip and drive

Try your dates via Skyscanner, I've just tested a couple of dates and both TravelTrolley & FlySharp are showing the cheap price. Slightly more expensive though

Not showing as those prices for me more like £500 I would need 4 tickets and it should be cheaper as two are kids prices. Thanks for looking though.

Not sure the sums are right there, have you added baggage?

That is minus the luggage.

Thanks OP, booked the family just after I saw this posted, out 4th, back 17th - £1272 for all 4. Thought I'd applied the discount code, I'm sure it updated the price, but must have lost it somewhere along the way when I checked the cost of paying using flynowpaylater or whatever it was called, then went back to the card payment.
Kids are 12 and 14, but adult fares are applied from 11 upwards on the website, so think I have paid APD for them when they should be exempt, got to figure out how to get that back- think its claimable directly from the airline?
We paid £579 pp return in mid/late August 2019

Found LA to be a dump.

Too right, if it wasn't for family living within an 80 mile radius of LAX we certainly would not be wanting to holiday there...and to be honest I cannot understand anyone that sees the appeal. Our recent trip over Christmas and the Freeways are worse than ever.
All booked and sorted 2 adults 1 child 1toddler for £950.

We’re going to do disney and la beaches for a few days then head down to San Diego for around 5 days before heading to Vegas to see some friends

bargain price. Thank you to the OP
When we flew from Auckland to Los Angeles in 2016, we were able to order unlimited snacks to our seat using the entertainment screen. Seat was comfortable and great selection of movies. Would happily fly with them again! Wish I had £300 spare for this!!

LA is great , loads of things for kids and adults .
Its expensive to eat and drink , but similar in Vegas and New York for decent restaurants.
Try and hit a LA Dodgers game if you can .
Universal studios was a great day out .
If you hire a car , lots of great beaches , but need to drive .

Hollywood is a Dump yes .
LA is amazing , Downtown has a great indoor food market , the hotels are unreal with great roof top bars .
West Hollywood is a amazing night out with loads of upmarket bars and restaurants.
Beverley Hills is has top range everything.
Also it's great base to start and end a road trip .
So Dump ?
