Good price for a direct return flight to New York with BA. Information on how to book and example dates can be found below.

Really, what were the issues?
The reviews go back to 2004. Additional fees after booking, people getting calls saying there price was wrong, flights cancelled, astronomical fees if any changes are required. If you google Travel Up then read trip advisor it’s all there.
I booked with them to go to Florida with them a few years ago and so did loads of others from a different site. Not one of us had any issues despite being warned against them. I actually find them quite lucky as it was the first time after booking with them ( I know it wasn’t connected, lol) that I was upgraded for free. If I was wanting to go to NY I would not hesitate to book with them.

I have used them for past 3 years with no issue
I have used Travel up myself as well in the past 4 years flying 3 times LHR to LAX and I've had no issues with them at all , they called me only once after booking to see if i would like to add checked baggage and i said no thanks i don't need it and that was that . but regardless of any travel agent i always pay by credit card to be on the safe side .

So is this the classic book early discount?
Most ppl will say theyve had no problems with OTAs like that, except when you do have an issue they will be absolutely useless.

We had used dreamworld travel 2 or 3 times, nothing went wrong and the tickets were assigned. Then the next one had a problem and they were they most useless company Ive ever dealt with - went thru talking to 6 different ppl on the phone, they went from saying they would fix the issue to telling us to call the airline and lie to them to get the airline to try to fix it, then put them on a conference call with the airline where they just lied to the airline, then talked to one who forgot to put themselves on mute where you could hear them talking to other staff members where they were saying 'youre all telling them different stories', to finally getting diverted to a voicemail box which didnt exist. Ended up having to claim on insurance and make a new booking.

Basically, never use dreamworld travel.
Lots of people use people like Travel up, and most of them will not have any issues. The problem is that you should never have any issues, and using people like Travel means you are far more likely to have a problem than booking direct with the airline, or using one of the 'more famous' OTA's.

As others have said, using an OTA is fine until a problem arises, and then it is pass the parcel between you, the OTA and the airline.

He's right. Try to book direct with the airline whenever possible.
is it cheaper these days to buy flight / hotel separately or as bundle package? thinking of New York in Feb. Thanks
