A good price but just be aware of the following:

- £13.98 online booking fee is added
- If you want baggage, there will be a £30 charge each way (22kg)
- if you want to select your seat there will be a £28 charge (if you dont select a seat then no charge)

However even adding the booking fee and each way baggage charge this comes to £334.78 a very good price (this includes the 10% discount through the code)

I believe the online booking fee only applies to credit card payments. If you pay by debit card, the £268.20 is the total you need to pay. Unless of course you want any of the extras.

Online booking fee is separate to any payment charge. thanks

Maybe I was just lucky then. It specifically states "Fares INCLUDE ALL Taxes & Charges".

I'm not seeing any reference to an 'Online Booking Fee', and no 'Online Booking' fee showing for me, and the overall total was £268.20 (pay with debit card).

east Midlands 30 more Glasgow Heathrow a little more check it out on skyscanner. problem with new York is the hotels are pricey.

British airways for was doing a 3 night flights and hotel deal the other day, for the £500-550 price, just check your hotel prices before booking, hotels in New York are ridiculously expensive .. I.m staying across the Hudson River next week as its a 4 star and a quarter of the price of a comparable manhattan hotel. (Still only 20 mins to times sq

Just been New York, would reccomend website airbnb. Private apartments for rent so cheap and amazing quality, we stayed 5 nights in a one bedroom apartment in manhattan for 150 each, hope this helps.

Good deal if you get there on time or at all. They will probably use their B757s for this route which are old and often brake down.

Break down

The Jet2 plane I travelled on in 2011 had ashtrays in the arm rests.... still... cheap.... heat

Agree - I'd suggest a hotel in Brooklyn (15mins to Wall St, etc) or Long Island City (15mins to Times Square). Both considerably cheaper than Manhattan.

Excellent flight price.

Breakdown over the Atlantic, can't see that being very useful.

News reports yestereday that a passenger was forced to land a light aircraft after the pilot sadly fell ill at the controls.
There are further reports that Jet2 have since charged the passenger for his 'seat upgrade'!

Hotwire got me a bargain 4* although probably the worst room in the Hotel for view & decor.

Currently:
Central Park West 2.5* £57 pn
Downtown SoHo 4* £104 pn
Times Square 4.5* £130 pn

Times Square although a tourist spot is actually very good for all the subway lines that pass there.

These flights are on the antiquated Jet2 757s which have appalling reliability records but worse is they are configured for short haul operation and the leg room is shocking. Also a 757 is a very slow aircraft.

It's cheap... so what.

I was gonna book these, I quite like jet 2 never had a problem with them and I find the leg room ample- though I haven't been on one of their bigger planes for a while. However I booked with the icelandair deal just posted as a 2 centre trip to reykjavik and nyc was our dream trip and it includes 2x23kg bags, drinks, snacks and entertainment on board

Brooklyn is a fantastic place, great place for food and bars in the evening, I'd stay there over Manhatton any day. We stayed in Williamsburg last time, it looked a little rough when we arrived but really enjoyed it, and it is also really easy to get to Manhatton

So tempted, reckon I could get away with about £650 total spend for the weekend.

Went with jet2 last november glasgow to newark, just under 8 hours with very little leg room and no reclining seats was a longggggggg flight but great price :-))

757's regularly fly oceanic routes and are used by United airlines. BA fly Airbus 319's to New York in a business configuration that isn't any quicker than a 757. Not as quick as an A380 or 747 but its only east coast USA. I'd be more worried about seat pitch and reliability.

Absolutely great price - love New York. Perfect time for Christmas shopping too

Do jet 2 ofer any seat back entertainment on these long haul 757's?

Great price, i just did a quick check on expedia and you can get these same flights ( - the 10% off code) with a hotel which apparently saves you 15% off the whole package (according to expedias website). I checked using these flights and staying in the same hotel i stayed in last time The Roosevelt Hotel located at the corner of East 45th Street and Madison Avenue (where they filmed Maid in Manhattan) and its just over a grand, must say i am very tempted, thanks OP.

Never knew Jet 2 flew to New York, I suppose you do learn something new every day.

Went New York for the second time in February, so I wont be going again, nevertheless I couldn't recommend the place enough, heat.
