If you like solitude and the country side, east or north of the island( wouldn't recommend it)West coast if money no object but I would recommend somewhere on the south coast for balancing cost and amenities.Nowhere is far in Barbados.

What sort of things do you like ?

That’s not really the case in Barbados. There are lots of options for eating out, in every price range. Plus you’ll cover more ground and actually take in the place.

Why travel so far just to stay in a resort?

Went there for our honeymoon in an all Inc. rented a car and went around the island. Ate in resort and out. Just saying what I experienced. Shopping in supermarkets and even eating in Cheffette was relatively expensive hence the comment. Couldn't eat in Cheffette everyday!

Depends on the supermarket tbh. If its Massey in Holetown then yes it will be expensive. I always shop in speightstown Jordan's & Eddies, plenty of choice and doesn't break the bank.
Went to the biggest one we could find since we had a car. I think it was the Cost U less.
I don't think these are direct flights.

Seem to go via LAX.

Kindest regards

Very true was there in July . Best holiday ever but staying and eating on the west side was on par with London prices

It's not really, far from it......

Been about 6 times, only expensive meals have been the mitchellin star restaurants as expected.

Mainly just relaxing in the sun visiting the beach every day, preferably somewhere close to it? I don't drive so cannot rent a car! Thanks for the suggestions!

I can't stop laughing. I do love it when you stop by. You should get a job a job as LAX's ambassador. If you can manage to get every flight in the world to stop at LAX you'd be minting it. Oh wait... They all already are stopping at LAX... Apparently!
Some great arial shots around the island via drone at the following link

Amazing deal! Such a beautiful island!! I recommend for those booking to use air bnb and stay on the West or south coast if you there for the beaches. North and east are very choppy and not too safe for swimming.

Which Michelin star restaurants? I can't see any on the guide.
