Not my sort of weather unfortunately[Image]

I take it you've never been anywhere tropical before? for anywhere tropical, weather sites and apps are as good as useless. all of our last holidays we checked before we went, sites say 2 weeks of rain and when we get there theres about an hour of rain every 3 or 4 days? we've given up checking now, and this is world wide, Caribbean, maldives, mauritius, hawaii, even south africa was completely wrong!

It'll be fine. There will be around 30-60 min of rain per day, usually late afternoon/evening. Rest of the time it will be fine.
Not necessarily. Loads of rain in the morning too.
Not my type of wind unfortunately

Costa Rica is the most amazing country, we went a couple of years ago. We spent a couple of days in San Jose, and a few days are the Dreams resort which was the most luxurious all-inclusive I’ve ever seen. Would love to go back if we had any time off work

Just googled the resort very nice also expensive, do you think its suitable for family 2 kids under 5? Or is it more couples?

There was a really good kids club, and plenty for kids there. Mine were much older, think maybe 12 & 9 at the time, but they loved it. But it’s isolated - nothing outside the resort for miles!
We booked it on an American website, bookit.com as they were loads cheaper than all the UK sites at the time. There are dozens of gorgeous resorts in that north western part of the country though, lots of them a little bit further south and nearer to Liberia.
great price.
When sailing in the Caribbean we use Sail Grib on Android. Gives very accurate forecasts. Also try Passage Planner and Wind Guru.
Thank you your reply was really helpful much appreciated.
