What’s the weather like in Lanzarote in December?
The furthest east of Spain’s Canary Islands, you'll get high temperatures and not much rain if you're going to Lanzarote in December. This is because it’s so close to the west coast of North Africa, making Lanzarote holidays ideal for a bit of winter sun.

Climatic influences
The Sahara Desert’s less than 130km away from Lanzarote, which gives the island its warm weather. Things can get hot when winds blow in from Africa. This can also bring the occasional dust storm and these are most likely when seasons are changing, but stick to the coast if one hits and you should be fine. North easterly winds and the Canary Current will keep you cool, while Lanzarote’s quite small and flat so there’s not much difference in weather around the island.

Averages
The average high temperature in Lanzarote is 22ºC in December, which is perfectly warm enough to relax on the beach and enjoy the winter sun. You should pack a warmer jumper for the evenings as things can get a bit cool, with temperatures dropping to around 14ºC at night. The average sea temperature’s only a couple of degrees cooler than summer at 20ºC, while humidity’s low and ranges from 60% to 90%. Average rainfall’s just 29mm across four rainy days.

Daylight
During December you can expect ten hours of daylight and six hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be moderate, so make sure you take care in the sun. Sunset gets later until it’s after 6pm in December

It was certainly good to get away! Made me realise how free and easy we've had it in the UK! Mask wearing is policed very strictly over there.

Only in shops now but last year it was very strict and you had to wear one when leaving your house and you couldn't smoke in the street.

Blimey! Well the outdoor market in Teguise was policed throughout and you had to queue to get in / sanitise your hands on entry.

Even when go karting I was told to wear a mask underneath the helmet (difficult!)

Have a look on trivago. There's usually some reasonable places out there

Absolutely wonderful to get away from the dark, dank England days in winter.
Not many places open out of season but I'd rather be in Lanzarote any day than here.

Don’t know where that is, unfortunately. Just cancelled Cape Town 100% refund though.
Boston MA and NYC is the latest booking. Wish me luck!

Really keen to do this but my 13 yr old has had a single shot + recently tested positive but not good enough as they need double jabbed, and make no exception for recently recovered

They canceled my flight, without any explanation, 3 times already in the last few months.
    With all the negative consequences:
    1) Loss in exchange Pound / Euro and loss at the exchange rate.
    2) They return the credit to your account with them. Then you can chase them to get your money back.
    3) Airport transfer, ordered at the same time on their website, they do not return. They say ... look yourself where it is.
    4) Rebook pre-booking airport parking.
And so, and so, and so....

    Avoid in all cases.

    Good price

Keep your fingers crossed for getting back home without additional flights, or risk paying for the govts prison for travellers, where you pay ?£1500? to be locked up.

20 months since on a plane

I won't have to renew my passport early due to running out of pages, & sadly running out of work too.

But with brexit changing passport durations, I'll need a new one about ?9 months? early.

It’s not the uncertainty as such that puts me off at this time, but the changing rules, additional stress and hassle as well as expense of tests, the Do I isolate on arrival conundrum etc good deal for those who chance it
