Excellent price for a direct return flight to Hong Kong. Hopefully the current troubles will have been resolved by December. The only date currently available for this price is the 4th - 14th December although more might be added later on.

Respectfully and sadly, I doubt it.
HK will unlikely get what the people want, China will up the ante to 'restore order', its a matter of how. Either way, it will lead to further unrest and havoc.
Reason I say that is HK as a culture is very Liberal in its ways and to take that away is unimaginable without mass destruction.

That's a good price none the less. I guess expect disruption during the trip if you go?

The odd tear gas here and there won't kill you, and I'm sure they sell gas masks at 7-11s by now.

Living in Hong Kong now, I don't see it ending anytime soon while HK fights for its freedom. Its mostly weekends that you will see protests on the streets and just avoid wearing white or black t shirts..( but anything can happen in a short period of time especially with China wanting to end the protests by deadline of 1st Oct)

Good price for a flight and with the cheap hotel prices it's definitely worth going. heat added.

In all seriousness, I'm a little amused that people are finding this all a shock - especially given the situation with tibet. What did people think? That we would hand off Hong Kong to the Chinese, they would see the light and run into the arms of father democracy with reckless abandon?
I'd honestly still go if I had the cash and time off work as Hong Kong is probably a lot nicer in December than London!
Do you need a visa to enter Hong Kong?
