Why is a compass important? Does it affect the gps?

not in the slightest, people have lived without it for years, but its one of those gimmicky things iPhone users would say they can't live without and a way of justifying a phones £600+ price tag (iPhone 7 Advert Parody [EXPLICIT])

"The digital compass that's usually based on a sensor called magnetometer provides mobile phones with a simple orientation in relation to the Earth's magnetic field. As a result, your phone always knows which way is North so it can auto rotate your digital maps depending on your physical orientation"

Nothing for several days so I chased them...They told me it was in stock, but they need a security validation in the form of a passport/drivers licence scan before they can release it. (why didn't they ask for this in the first place?) Subsequently I was assured that it would be delivered Monday (today) or Tuesday (tomorrow) latest... yet I have just received an email saying it's out of stock and that they don't have a delivery estimate.I am going to leave multiple reviews about the quality of their service (good so far, in terms of customer service responsiveness; but very poor, in terms of transparency/informativeness/reliability) - I just really hope that they pull their fingers out and dispatch my order in the next 48 hours, else my review will go from 'meh' to 'AVOID AT ALL COSTS'.

I had a good experience with them using this deal. They called me the day after ordering to verify, and to hard-sell their insurance but the phone arrived the next day. The 6p is very impressive.

I didn't say I didn't. In any case, it is a process called budgeting - some may be perfectly comfortable at £35 per month every month, but totally unable to find £100+ in the first month (I am guessing that may apply to around 25% of those who can afford £35 per month). I am glad not to be in that position, even more glad not to be unable to appreciate that some people are (I would hate to come across how some people do)!

FYI I would never buy an iPhone (outright or 'free'), pretty much hate Apple, just looking for a colleague.

It's more the upfront cost. Everyone knows buying the phone and then a simonly is cheaper, but you need to have that cash available to buy the phone at the start,

I think its a great deal and just bought it.

oops just noticed the £81 upfront too

it means you could look at it as paying off your iPhone 6 64 gb off monthly interest free ( unlocked from apple they are about £619) then your paying about £12.50 pee month for your tariff

Voted hot. This is a decent deal if this is the phone that someone wants and might help someone out. Yes there are other phones out there but that's not a reason to vote cold.

We as a collective group of people need to stop paying these ridiculous prices for phones to hopefully make them adjust their prices accordingly. In reality this won't happen due to the demand but personally I'm sticking with my two year old S4 until it dies.
