DiRT 2 / Army of Two 40th Day (Xbox 360) - £4.97 Each @ Curry's

Was in Huntingdon today and decided to pop in to Curry's to see if they had any good deals going on and they did. DiRT 2 was selling for £10 in Curry's not long ago and that was a good deal so when I saw it for £4.97 today I knew I had a bargain on my hands. I was given the game brand new with seal and then went round the corner to GAME to trade in for £8 credit!

Army of Two the 40th Day was also £4.97 and I picked that up myself to keep and play (although this isn't brand new). I've scanned in the receipts for proof of purchase. I'm not sure if these prices are nationwide but I did just check on their website and DiRT 2 is listed at £4.97 just not in stock.

Also worth mentioning that Operation FlashpointL Dragon Rising was also £4.97 as was Vancouver 2010. Mass Effect 2 for £9.97 also seemed like a good deal. I know this has been posted before but I thought it was worth another mention for anybody interested.

I had a quick check for the PS3 but didn't see the games there at the same price.

£4.97 for Dirt 2 is a superb deal. Had a lot of fun playing this recently.

I said at the bottom of the description, I had a quick look but didn't see any I'm afraid.

I should have stated that DiRT 2 is a great game, I just played it near release, got my 1000 gamerscore and traded it in. Is definitely worth getting and playing at this price.

Army of Two is worth avoiding but DiRT 2 is a very accomplished game and you'll be supporting British developers should you purchase it

Dirt 2, as fun as it is, it's riddled with mistakes. Still worth a purchase for the cross country bits.

Good prices. I've been in PC World today to get a copy of Op Flashpoint for £4.97 and they had Battlefield 2 for £14.97 for PS3 so I imagine Currys will be the same. Ghostbusters on Xbox was £9.97 too.

can confirm these prices in sheffield currys branches too.

AoT2 was 9.97 in my local a few days ago.

Could have changed though.

Bit confused as to why this has expired? manc80 confirmed that the same prices are in the Sheffield branch of Curry's so they do seem to be nationwide prices.

These are normally special offers per store, rather than national, hence expired i presume.

I would doubt only for one store as showing online at same price. I think there just isnt that much stock. so if your shop has any in, best guess it will be at 4.97.

-by the way sheffield stores showed them as out of stock online, and when i went in they were priced at £34 on the shelf. but came up at cheap price when scanned and definitely few in stock.

If your store has them marked up more expensive, get them to scan at the till, they will be £4.97 (both showed at £14.97 in mine until they scanned them).

I did contemplate holding on to it longer but there's no CEX in Huntingdon and I don't plan on going to Bedford anytime soon (where there is a CEX).

Mistakes??

Please elaborate...

Just picked a copy up of Dirt 2 for said price in Bromley Currys. Not expired!

I've asked to unexpire this once but it has been expired again and you can't report posts more than once. If you want to unexpire click on 'report post' (see bottom of original post) and select other (not spam for obvious reasons!) and put a short message like 'please unexpire - still available'.

Checked in the Camberley Branch yesterday and there was a copy left on the shelf...
