Shame it only goes up to DJ Culture, many, many more gems from the PSB after that single. I've got this on er, VHS video (been a fan for decades).

They absolutely stormed the SECC on Thursday, the crowd was much more boisterous than the DM audience (I went to both). Even more fabulously, Barney Sumner was there with Bad Lieutenant as support and did lots of New Order songs and "Love Will Tear Us Apart". Brilliant night. And my niece got given a set list. :santa:

I love that your post doesn't actually mention the artist's name! That wasn't an issue for me, but there are a lot of youngsters reading this. Great collection and up to DJ Culture is enough for me.

Also available from Amazon for £4.98 you could get the MP3 download of the Pet Shop Boys Pop Art hits album which has 35 tracks in total which for me seems a better deal than this one...

What no artist in the title:w00t: made me giggle

I was there on Thurs - it was a amazing show

Another thumbs up for the SECC gig - absolutely amazing!! 2 encores, including their first live performance of My Girl (according to Neil, anyway).

(Let's not leave it another 7 years before you do another full gig north of the border, eh, PSB??)..

I'd agree Pop Art is a better purchase if you're looking for a quick way of getting all of the hits, as you get loads more fantastic tracks - including the gorgeous Miracles (our wedding first dance song, fact fans).

The recording quality also seems better - the joys of improved CD recording technology, I guess... I'm assuming that'll have some bearing on the MP3s as well?

The only slight downside to PopArt is that the songs aren't chronologically stored, as they're split over 2 discs (between "Pop" and "Art" - hence the name, y'see)..

If you fancy having the actual CDs, rather than just the MP3s, then Amazon are doing Pop Art for just under £6

amazon.co.uk/Pop…l_1

(hope that works!!)

Always better to have the CDs, I reckon?

Cheers,
Gerard

Despite owning both I still prefer Discography to Pop/Art. I find myself skipping through a lot of it whilst this is fantastic from start to finish. Plus the tracks flow brilliantly in chronological order

They were amzaing at the NIA in Brum friday night the crowd was well up 4 it. The sound quality from bernard sumners band was awful his voice was lost and when neil mentioned them at the end there was some boo's. anyway i hope they do a dvd , the remixed Two dived by zero was stunning.
Btw does anyone know what the tunes tunes where being played over the sound system before they came on stage?

So they hadn't fixed Bernard's sound equipment for your gig either?

The first couple of songs at the Glasgow gig, we couldn't make out a word he was singing. We were at the front, so could see the backstage guys busy shouting and gesturing to each other about which settings to change.

After a while, things did get back to normal and they carried on with an excellent (if mostly New Order rather than Bad Lieutenant) set.

Cheers,
Gerard

Fantastic at the Manchester Arena last night (Sunday)!

i won tickets with cokezone to see them tonight at the O2! i only know a handful of tracks so this will help me get up to speed

80s, 90s, and 00s, donchaknow?

Great deal, this has their best stuff on it.

Excellent price for a superb album, and if memory serves me correclty, two tracks not on any other PSB album: DJ Culture and Was It Worth It.

Must agree with others here, they were brilliant at the SECC on Thursday night, really had the place bouncing and for a long time PSB fan, playing some of their less well known tracks was brilliant.

Just wish I could get my hands on a bootleg from their first "pet shop boys: on tour" concert.
