Forgive me doing anything wrong, but this is my first deal find!

I'm a fan of my watches and just found this. Rado True Thinline down from £1580. It's a model that's still very new by watch standards, and for a brand that rarely discounts.

Spoke to the guy in the shop, he said he didn't know why it was discounted as was in their pristine window but assumed the watch must not be selling strongly enough to stay there.

They had a few ladies watches too, but only these two discounted gents.

They had a few, so I will be going back on payday!

No idea if this is national, as I didn't ask, but their website is just a store locator.

OP thanks for posting. I think the problem is shedding out £1000 on a watch. Its quite alot of money.

Well the link does not work, so cold from me

I can see why there is no link to their website, it's sh**e

Theire web site is ****, Rado watches arnt though, ive bought one 10 yrs ago in a tax free country, only had a battery change and still looks superb, mind you, ie been quoted £135 to have it serviced :-(

There are a number of true thinkline models so how good a deal this is depends on the model. However it's worth noting that high end watches will almost always die on here as most people can't appreciate their value. Mechanical watches will do better. Have some heat for the effort.

Spending £1000 on a watch is relative to your income. I spent £500 on a Longines watch 20 years ago had it serviced 4 times and still looks great, I was coming out with £500pm at the time.

A good watch is like a good piece of jewellery, timeless. Only wish I could buy more nice watches.

Ask them exactly how they service a quartz movement. They will blink at you despairingly. Basically, they use an watch oiler to oil all of about 4 jewels and an air duster to clean it, possible a new battery and a touch of silicone grease on the gasket when they close it back up. Servicing of generic quartz watches is THE biggest con in the watch world, unlike the servicing of an automatic, which is essential and highly skilled.

Rado are Ok, not worth as grand though.

Very true, however not many "good" watches about. Just lots of over marketed generic crap.

Sorry this appears so disliked. I guess it's not for the HDUK market. I hope someone benefits anyway, it is an amazing offer for an amazing watch.

The one next to it in the pic is an automatic Centrix for the automatic lovers. That was a great price, but not for me.

Love my Sintra.
