Decent price but it is listed as a resistive screen.
..bought one of these and returned it. doesnt work with android market although i'm sure theres a workaround. screen pretty poor but mine had a doa battery so could only run it off mains...ok for a second tab for kids but not great
I will say NO for resistive screen.
Had one - broke within a few months - rubbish - avoid
I've got the 6000 version and it's a case of you get what you pay for.

I didnt have the market or google experience, but there are ways of sorting that with a bit of tech knowledge and research.

If you want a very basic tablet for watching movies, youtubing, light media then this is great. If you're expecting a full on tablet like an ASUS transformer then you'll be disappointed.
Surprised this junk got so hot.
The specs aren't great, but for the price it would be decent....if the things worked properly all the time, which they do not.
I bought 1 second hand for tht price, reading the reviews I am glad the sale fell through! But would say good price, well found.
OMG - what are people expecting for £50, and a bundled 4Gb card???

I have an IPAD2, numerous laptops etc. but as a budget no frills media player, that will play most formats out of the box, this is a good deal. Taking 2 on holiday with a couple of 16Gb micro cards. They have HDMI out (mini) and with a stylus, will be as responsive as we need. So 48Gb of media for my 9 and 5 year olds to use on the plane, in the villa etc. and i'm not too bothered about them getting scuffed, scratched etc.

HOT from me.
No market/play Google. Cold

But its worth about £20 tops.

Horrible horrible device.

Expensive beer mat
£40 too expensive imo.

Would be like trying to pass off a brand new sit down lawn mower as a car and then someone saying "OMG! What do you expect for £800?"

Fantastic use for it! little ones might enjoy drawing on it with the stylus and a 'paint' style app too.

I have this tablet, get a 'pointy' style stylus like the one for nintendo DS and the touchscreen is fine. Viewing angles aren't great. Sound is ok, nothing fantastic.

Plays all of my TV mkv's even those with AC3 sound! Has USB host (via MiniUSB adapter, takes keyboard and mouse or USB Stick), MicroSD and miniHDMI. HDMI works well when playing movies via HDMI the screen is off to save battery.

Also has miniUSB for connection to PC, Charges via included AC adapter so not sure about car chargers, May be able to find one with the right barrel that gives enough mA.

Battery actually lasts quite long, especially with screen off.

UI is fast enough and plays angry birds well. Slight problem is no multi-touch so cannot zoom in or out in most games that use 'pinch to zoom'.

SlideMe is a better market, you can download its apk onto a USB stick or microSd to install it, then get some apps from there.

All my attempts to get proper market failed, Best I got is old 'green' market giving 'download unsuccessful' every time. All known fixes to that failed. Rooting it with superoneclick works fine.

Browsing is ok, but as you need to use stylus and with that on-screen keyboard is not great. Adobe Flash doesn't work. Skype works well for voice, no video.

Some of my USB drives just refuse to mount with the included USB OTG cable. Remember this has no Bluetooth or GPS. So think about that before buying.

Now you have all the facts, Any more questions just ask. I think its worth £50, as someone said, as a media player. I doubt you'd find a 7" media player with microSD and usb that plays mkv's with AC3 sound and has HDMI out for £50.
In my opinion if you can't afford an iPad don't buy anything else.

That's a rather narrow and biased opinion.

I was tempted to get this on their leap day sale, when it was the same price...hmm...might make a decent mothers day gift but I'm put off by the resistive screen. She would probably use it mainly for reading e-books and pdfs, would this be fairly comfortable with that usage? I doubt she would want to use a stylus.

Wouldnt a kindle be better for ebooks?

Ebook reader would be best for that. Got my GF a Sony PRS-300 in pink for about the same price and she loves it.

I would say this (and any LCD) screen would be rubbish for ebooks and actually reading PDF's.
Hmmm, thanks for the input. I know she kinda wanted to check her e-mails and quickly do the odd google search also, so an e-reader would be out of the question.
Got one of these from Play.com, arrived Saturday 10am sent back Monday it was terrible. Unable to download anything from Android Market, screen was awful even with a stylus, neither my PC or LapTop recognised it when connected, as everyone has said you get what you pay for, so make sure you can return it!
Tells you something when the successor to the 6000 is £20 cheaper!!
"In my opinion if you can't afford an iPad don't buy anything else."
I think "and are too stupid to choose wizely" needs adding to the end of this.

This tablet is too limited, even at that price. Tablets can suck even when quite expensive.
I think I have experienced a very similar model to this (an Intempo which is sitting on my desk right now). If it is a similar model then I would have to say it isn't worth it even at half the price - these things are shockingly bad even after updating the OS.
Me and the other half bought our 3 children a disgo 6000 for christmas, 1 of them was broken on arrival, so we swapped that one for a 7000. Out of the 3 tablets only 1 still has an intact screen, neither of the other 2 was being used at the time the screens broke!!! Avoid like the plague!!!!
Please people, do not buy these Disgo tablets. They are so poor; I've had two tablets from them and both had to be returned within 7days due to becoming faulty. As someone posted above, they are very expensive beermats.

They are expecting something low spec and poor performing, but that actually works.
Got this on feb one day deal and works well !! Good for my small one to use and throw around......:)
hot!

iPads are perfect for kids, old people, and complete idiots.
Which category do you fall into?
Perfect for bath time browsing YouTubeing etc in a waterproof case resistive screens are perfect for this. Android market 3.1.3 works on this device just Google it and download it straight to the device. For 50 quid you get what you pay for but hell lying in the bath i can afford to be patient while parusing hukd...
Showing as £69 now
