I think this is a fairly basic hard drive player/recorder, but at this price I think is a steal. If you can get PC world to apply price promise even cheaper!

technically its a 500GB Multimedia Hard Drive with Built-in PVR, USB 2.0 which the kids have sat on, at least if you had the DVD element you could do something with recordings.

I have found another with 1000gb for £116 which can also say hello and does not look like the kids have sat on it

Sat on! Ha Ha! I actually like the look of that!

The other one you point out, is rebadged by Sumvision as well and often sold at Scan at reduced prices. It doesn't review too well, by the looks of it, mainly on the whole consistently locking up with certain videos etc.

I haven't read any reviews on this fella though, and as people have already pointed out, the other one isn't a PVR.
